Do they want a relationship with you? I say give them a chance. Family is important and a thing to be cherished no matter when they come into your life.

I strongly believe u should bother about them. The fact that U are seeking advices from others indicates that U have not been a whole person for some time now. Everyone needs a family no matter the circumstances, as the age old saying goes, a family line can only bend but can never ever be broken or cut. Accept them and start reconciliation to clear that dark room in ur heart. If U turn them down, U will carry that dark room in ur heart for the rest of your life. Remember to err is human but to forgive , the most devine.

Yes, honey contact them. If you don't, you'll always wonder what you missed out on. Nobody is expecting you to have a relationship or create some fake father-daughter bond. But family is family. And it wouldn't hurt to try to reach out. Who knows, maybe something will develop out of this. And if it doesn't, look on the bright side.....at least you can say that you tried! You'll be able to sleep easier knowing that you no longer have to wonder. Don't let fear of rejection or apprehension stand in your way. You are at the point where you are contemplating if it's worth it or not, so it means you aren't that attached to the whole idea. With your heart so guarded, this would be the best time to do it. You risk less hurt. I wish you well and whatever you decide, I hope it works out for you.

Your name suggests you may not be serious about ever having a relationship of any kind with anyone. It certainly may be worth giving them both a chance, and not being too ready to blame your sister for things that had nothing to do with her and were out of her control, and your dad for decisions that may or may not have been right at the time, but are in the past. Try not to judge either of them, but base your assumptions on their behaviour to you now.

That is really a decision that you have to make on your own, however if I was in that situation I would make continue with the contact. Good luck with your decision.

I Hate You All: Your name suggests bitterness which saddens me. Maybe it was caused by the absence of your father. Remember too, that your new found sister had nothing to do with it all. She is an innocent party. Try to keep in contact and ask them questions. Many, many questions. The most important one being 'Why'. The reasons why you should keep in contact is not necessarily for you, but for your future children...............

We cannot tell you how to live your life but, I can say that family can be the most valuable asset you have. You are young now, with your life ahead of you. Who knows how it will turn out. It is helpful to know that emotional support from family is perhaps not far away.
Good Luck with your decision.
