It was raining hard and the floor was flooded... I was walking in my flip-flops and then I slipped. I landed flat so both the back of my head and my hip hit the floor hard, like really hard. It felt funny the moment my head bumped onto the floor (i mean it's like a cartoon or something) but I'm worried if my cerebrum gets hurt or something. This happened like 3 hours ago and i'm still conscious, but can somebody tell me if I should see a doctor or not? (I'm not old though, i'm under 20 so no worries about my backbone or whatever)

If you hit it hard enough to be worried about it, then go in and get checked out.

Caution: swelling can occur over time and cause a closed head injury, call a friend and stay with them today...if you start acting funny, forgetful, can't be awakened call 911, your DR might tell you the same thing

I think as long as you did not become unconscious you can wait to see a doctor (if you need to go at all). If you develop headaches, become nauseous or develop any symptom, please go in. Otherwise, I would just take it easy for a few days.

You may have bruised your hip pretty badly though, so watch that.

Good luck to you.
