The strengthen the knee work the inner thigh. On your side pull your top leg up so foot is flat on floor. Lift and lower you bottom leg keeping the leg straight and top turned down. Also, seated on the floor with one leg bent and foot flat on floor have the other leg out straight and keeping it straight slowly lift and lower.

Key here is to strengthen the muscles around the knee - you should talk to a professional to find out what the best exercises there are and for them to show you how to execute them properly, bad form will only make it worse.

I think the best exercises would be freestanding squats and one leg lunges

For the squats you can use a medicine ball for stability. So stand with your back to a wall, position the medicine ball behind you and use it to support your back. So you have the wall with the medicine ball against it with your back against the ball. Slowly squat down so your knees are at 90 degrees to the floor and then move back up again slowly and repeat. When doing this, try not to use the medicine ball as a support but as a guide to help you squat.

bad knee-cycling is out of the question, running will make you just worse just be careful with what you get up to Ur knee's because if you have a locked knee you will need fast relief to stop the twinge and roof hitting wall banging pain.good luck with Ur running and squats.just make sure the whole stree knows your doing your squats because you will not be able to move and they will have to kick the door in to help you stand up on your feet, just to save get tin the front door getting booted in,do your running and squats out door's so everyone knows what you up to never know you could get lucky and have every one sorting your knee's.you will need to lye on your back and cycle in the air really slowly.or better still do the hand stand then you will have to ask everyone about your pain in the elbow's.good luck any way.i got a spare set of knees if you wish they were a gift to me from Heather mill's.

Depends on what's causing the problem. See a doctor.

My knee has no more cartilage between the knee cap and the knee joint. So there are exercises that you should NOT DO.

ok, me too...
DON'T.. go cycling, running or any other impact sport.
DO go swimming as often as you can. Also place your foot in a hoop, keep your knee locked, and drag a weight forward. This builds up your quads, and keeps your knee muscles in place.
Mine are shot. running 60 miles a week in Army helped them, go that way.
Good luck

Try swimming as there is no impact to make your injury worse.

I would suggest going to a doctor though to find out why your knee is doing this and find out how it can be corrected.
