Road Rage is a lack of emotional control while driving.

I think a lot of the rage stems from the feeling that the "bad driver" has 'personally' attacked you.

People who drive like jerks are just jerks. The person that reacts with road rage, took the jerk personally... feeling they were targeted. The person does not see that the idiot is cutting everyone off.

Other times, we make mistakes that are taken as direct and personal attempts to cause harm. I try to give the benefit of the doubt when possible. And if the bad driver is a jerk, I know that I'm not going to change that person. Best to let them go...

Blowing your horn to alert another driver is not considered road rage...cutting in front of the other driver to "get him back" is road rage. Honking your horn is fine, it alerts those around you to a possibly dangerous situation.

Doing anything behind the wheel for revenge is considered road rage. This includes blowing the horn without reason, flashing headlights, tailgating, shooting "the finger", following everywhere they go, sometimes for miles.

No, road rage is when a person driving doesn't like the speed you are going, or is in a hurry and doesn't care what could happen to you.

I think that sometimes when a person recieves road rage it includes the anger from the persons earlier rages that were not resolved.
