I asked a question in the politics forum and they pretty much said they don't know any conservatives who would think the earth is less than 10,000 years old and that view was relegated only to extremist bible thumpers and foolish people-- to put it mildly...
Now, I have liberal leanings, and that's what other conservatives say about creationists.
So I wonder why when Americans are poled such a high percentage of them seem to believe in a young earth?
Do you think that only very few conservatives are creationists but all creationists vote Republican?

I detest people who hurt sharks.
yes I am aware of what they do for the shark fin, it makes me sick,
but then again, people torture and kill animals for all kinds of reasons and won't stop no matter what facts and evidence you try to show them why they should stop.......
I hate people.

First, hello fellow Liberal!
Second, do you know of the shark-fin debate in Japan? Some Japanese truly believe that eating shark fin provides a longer life and greater virility and higher intelligence. But despite dozens of scientific tests that prove these theories wrong, people still believe it. (its called having a closed mind)
Same goes for conservatives who believe the earth is only 10000 years old. Despite fossil records and geologic records that prove otherwise, they refuse to believe it. At this point there is nothing anyone can do, its like trying to debate a drunk person. It will never work.

Most creationists know their belief is in the minority... but they don't care, thats their belief.
Most creationists who vote chose Republican candidates because they represent the same morals and ethics. Many creationists voted Democratic until about 20 years ago when the Democratic party was hijacked by socialists. The democratic party ousted their conservative members and forced many people to the Republican party.

I don't vote. I don't like either Republican or Democrat parties, or most of the other independant parties for that matter. But I am a "morally conservative young-earth creationist", if that counts for anything.

I am a creationist and believe the same as Jesus did when he refers to the book of genisis more than 20 times as if it were a hiastorical document. If other "conservative" christians think Jesus was a liar, it doesn't make me feel dumb. www.drdino.com exlains a lot of this creationist world veiw and shows a lot of scientific references

Since most of us Christians are fighting the Abortion Holocaust with our votes it would be logical to assume that those who are creationists would be firmly voting Republican MOST of the time.

Why couldn't God have created the earth millions of years ago? I don't get the point of your question.
