You have to be at least 18 ( although some departmetns will require 21)

There is no max age limit by law except for the federal agencies. What would happen with age, is the ability to pass the physcial or the phycial agility part of the employment tests

In the UK the upper age limit is 50 for most Police Forces. Exceptions are the MoD Police and the Civil Nuclear Police where you can get in until 60 and retire at 65. Be aware that the recruitment process is taking around 18 months to 2 years at present!

Well, let's see. You graduated from High School at, 17 or 18. Then you spent 4 years in the Army (preferably as an MP). Then you took 2 years of Criminal Justice and got your Associate's Degree.... so that's 18+4+2= 24 years old.

And that's about the bottom age and minimum skill level to enter a Police Academy.

21 to join the city police in the jurisdiction in which I live.

As to how old, i don't know, as stated previously the physical exam would exclude those unfit physically from some positions. However, they could, or perhaps could, be reassigned to a desk job with relaxed physical exam requirements.

The deputies from the sheriff's department that work the courthouse, in my area, obviously, have different physical requirements than city police officers. There are several, who I see on a regular basis which, I can assure you would be hard pressed to be able to run even a quarter mile given their weight.
