Many people consider the writings that came to be called The Bible, The Quran, etc as being the truth, despite the many different translations, interpretations of each of the writings, and the obscurity and selective choices of material from which they came. Could people in 2000 years (assuming there are still some around) consider the more verifiable sources of writing from such as Hitler, Marx, Mao, Hubbard and others to be more believeable?

I'm not sure what you mean as 'more verifiable' writings of Hitler and Mao?
Hitler plagiarized the writings of Chamberlain and Wagner in his Mein Kampf. There is nothing 'true' in what he writes. It is just the hatred of one jailed individual (he wrote it while incarcerated) written into book form. Just because people follow a person's writings doesn't make it true.
The Bible, the Quran all the ancient books are just as much myth as the Greek legends.
It is a matter of BELIEF. People CHOOSE to believe these books are true and they live their lives accordingly.
Angry people CHOOSE to believe in the hateful writings of Adolf Hitler. There is no truth to what he writes. It is fiction.
It is a hateful story of how he would like to run the world.
Unfortunately for billions of people he almost succeeded, don't let him continue to win. Educate yourself about hate, and protect yourself from perpetrating it.

possible but not probable. these men whose ideas went against the basic rights of all mortals to live and worship as they please have been condemned by most humanitarians as evil and cruel tyrants trying to enslave people for their own selfish reasons of power. hopefully in 2000 years mankind has advanced enough to realize all people need to accept, love and respect each other in spite of their differences.

It seems that most people need some thing to believe in and hold on to. They don't want to see the truth. when confronted with facts they close their eyes and cover their ears.

As a follower of Nietche, Hilter would believe life is meaningless but the greatest person is the guy who builds his home on the side of an active volcano!! meaningless but macho...
in the end hollow and inhumane...

I would think not. If they pay attention to history, none of these ideas worked. Probably they will be a curiosity. Hopefully.
