Here is how I am making mine (we are using irises and yellow roses, but lilies and orchids will work the same):
- take 5 great, striking orchids and lay them down on a table. Choose a strong, darker color to make them really stand out.
- then take 6 lilies that are ligher and lay them on top of the orchids.
- grab the stems together and bind tightly with masking tape
- snip the stems at the desired length
- cover the masking tape with ribbon. Hot glue in place.
The look you will get will be the taller orchids in the back surrounded by shorter and wider lilies.
Good Luck!

You could also buy instructions in a book, manuel, or ebook.

The first thing you have to do is decide on the finished look. Do you want a handheld, cascade, teardop, arm, etc...
Make a list or fill out a worksheet to get you started.

Depending on the style of bouquet, will determine how you make it. Browse around the links to get ideas about styles and looks. Find the one that you most like, then find the instructions on how to make it yourself, or post again for specific style instructions. There is no one way to make bouquets for every style.

Why not try using the best tools you have available?
1st: your own brain! 2nd: your own eyes!
Afterall, it is your day, isn't it??
You have a pretty good idea on the type of flowers that you like and want to use; plus, you have a florist picked out. Do you really want a "queer-guy" or strangers to tell you what they want you to use as a bouquet on your day?
Arrange the flowers to suit your eye, by length and color, so it will draw all of the focus on you, and your pretty gown. You can hold the flowers together in many ways, from thread or wire(colors) or even "Craft" paper and foam. Visit a "craft" store in your area, or even ask your florist since you are choosing them as your florist..
All it takes, is a little effort on your part, and once you find the arrangement that you find beautiful, ask your closest friends and your Momma what they think! I'd bet a nickel they will be so impressed and amazed at what you did, they will talk about your wedding for years to come!!
Remember, anything good and beautiful takes a little effort(work) on anyone's part!
Try it and see just how easy it can be, and more rewarding for you!!!
Best Wishes on your upcoming day!!!

I made my own bouquet. Make it a fun project with your wedding party. Go to the craft store, buy the green roll tape that is used for flowers..(ask for assistance if needed). There are two ways to do it...just buy the green tape. wrap the bottom of the flowers stems. ontop of that wrap what ever color ribbon you want(kinda like a candy cane wrap). and have some ribbon hagging down on the bottom..or before the ribbon. Buy (depending how many you have to make) some fabric material, what ever color you want. Cut into squares, big enough to wrap around the bottom of the flowers. make sure you tuck the bottom of the material over and up the bottom of the stem then wrap around the stems..Also iron the sides of the squares so that the one side that is shown outside does not look stringy. then either add pearls down that crease of wrap with ribbon..good luck..

I made my own too. They were actually much easier than I thought they would be. I bought a bunch of simple stems, and cut them all the same length. Then I arranged them to create a dome-shape. I wrapped the stems in wire to keep them in place, then wrapped the stems in floral tape. Then I wrapped the stems in white ribbon, and made a couple of stitches at the bottom to keep it attatched. You will definetely need help, cause it takes more than one pair of hands. Orchids would be very difficult, so I would suggest going wtih lilies. Buy some fake ones to practice on. Good luck!

You can buy flowers from a florist or at a local supermarket or garden type place. Just buy some nice ribbon. Grab a bunch of flowers (white babies breath add that in too. It is small little white dot like flowers used to make it more full) that you like with babies breath and cut the ends of the flowers at an angle. Just mix them together to make a pattern. And then just tie them together with nice ribbon and maybe a piece of stronger string under the ribbon. And there ya go. Simple and cheap.
Or hire a florist.
