First of all your information about God is wrong. No were does He say we must kiss His behind. What He does say is that we have the right to believe in Him and obey His laws. And we will have a better life here on earth and live for ever in haven. That when He returns, those who believed in Him and acted accordingly, He will raise and give eternal life. It is simply you may chose to be sinful or to live a good clean life. And He knows like all parents do, that we can believe in him and still need forgiveness for our mistakes. And If we ask, He will forgive and forget. He loves all of us and it pains Him as it does your parents and other family members when you are hurting or doing things that you should not be doing.

Does your earthly Father have you kiss is tukus? I don't think so. But he does desire your respect and love. God is no different.

As your Heavenly Father he wants you to respect him. But he wants that respect to come out of love just like a good earthly Father does.

How do you think your earthly Father would feel if you started calling someone else Dad. I know I wouldn't want my son calling another man Father. That is the type of jealousy God is talking about. Respect = Love for a man and in many ways the same is true for God. If you Love someone you also naturally respect them.

God does not insist or force us to do anything...we have free will.
And if you pay close attention to this category you will see that many here do not believe in God and there are many other like myself that do and accept the perfect will of God for our life's.

By you asking why he is a jealous God that shows me that you do not know his love...I will pray that he does show you his love.

I don't believe that God wants us to "kiss his behind". I believe that he wants us to spread His Word. You know he did die on the Cross so that each and every one of us had a chance to go to Heaven instead of hell. (John 3:16) If I were you I would be grateful of that. And as far as Him being jealous, I don't know what you are talking about. I don't know where you got that info, but to my understanding it is not right. It sounds like you might need to visit with a minister and get all the right details. Good Luck.

He wants your love and respect like you want your children to love and respect you. God gets jealous when humans put other things before Him. I would be the same way if I had created the world. He doesn't want us to forget Him.

Rather a warped Question but....

God a sovereign has only created two places to go after death for eternal creatures such as us.

1. Eternity with HIM (Heaven)
2. Eternity without HIM (Hell)

We choose to live with or without HIM that choice is sealed the moment we die.

jealous = watches over with concern and protection

here we go, finally someone asking some good questions. if god is so good why did he create sin? why did he make it so you had sin your not responsible for? (original sin from Adam eating apple) why did he create your body so that every cell in your body had the desire to commit sin then at the end wait for you to throw you away from the pearly gates and watch you suffer in hell? and all the while maintaining he is unconditionally loving? that isn't love
that's sadistic

Trelane on Star Trek is his little brother, but their attitude is the same. I wish their parents would take over and give them a time out. Or maybe that's why we haven't heard from him in a really long time...hmmmmmmmm

I could answer your question, but you wouldn't accept it.
You come in here in this spirituality answer page and attack Christianity over and over, you don't want to really know, you just want to argue for a need to have conflict to stroke your own ea go.
If you do not believe then leave, why waste your time trying to convince those who do believe that God doesnt exist when you have absolutely no chance of doing so? Give it up! you cannot win,,accept it.

I agree with Hawk-Life. He/She doesn't expect this and He/She is not jealous as God/Dess is a universal concept. It is the CHURCH (people with a need for power) that made all this up.
