That would depend on the phobia.... Are we talking a fear of flying, heights, or claustrophobia to the enclosed atmosphere of the cabin?
Identifying what you're afraid of is the first step. You might also try learning some relaxation techniques. If it's a fear of flying or heights, then you need to calm yourself and do something to hold your attention within the walls of the plane. If it's claustrophobia, then in addition to relaxation, add some visualizations of open spaces.

I hate to fly also, I get ill 2 days before the flight, so I take a dramamine for motion sickness and have a couple drinks and fall asleep on the plane, and when I wake up I'm there. I also hate flying over water, I couldn't drink that early in the morning, so I took my portable DVD Player and watched a movie. And before I knew it I was in Cancun!!

take the train insead, or you could take the bus.
If over seas, then bring a good page turner and it will be over before you know it :)

think of this, your chances of crashing in a plane is 1-a million or whatever, your chances of crashing in a car are much much higher.
1 bourbon, 1 scotch and one beer works for me.

have few drinks before the flight or take some relaxant pills.don't try both of them!!!

try hypnotherapy. i am currently studying to be a hypnotist and psychotherapist and it does have some amazing results.
