My cat is always looking for running water and won't drink out of her water dish. If I get her a water bottle that you would find in a hamster cage will she drink from that?

Yes, they will. I recently flew my animals across country and bought them both (1cat, 1 dog) a "hamster style" water bottle to keep them hydrated though the flight. Go to Petsmart or Petco and you can find ones specially made for dogs and cats.

She might. If you start them as kittens they will. I found a dish that circulates water in the dish so it looks like it is running water.

this web site has them:

my cats do the same thing. really annoying when i try to brush my teeth. that sounds like a good idea as long as the metal tip of the bottle doesn't mess up their tongue.

each little thing you defined are the traits of a guinea pig. They make great pets and could provide you various excitement. i've got had the two hamsters and guinea pigs in my day, and that i could decide on a guinea pig any day. stable luck.
