It is probably like poly amor. That is where a person is involved with more than one person...usually with the knowledge of all parties involved. In modern times some people don't see any reason for the restraints places on previous generations to limit the number of close friends or even lovers. It is usually a very limited number of people, like 3 or 4. Like an extended family almost.

To my opinion "dual" means mutual between her boy and the girl. She has rightly said "dual relationship". Because a relationship cannot be maintained single handed particularly between a girl and a boy.

Dual means double. She wanted to say you that, she would like you to participate with her best girl friend. So while you are with your girl friend you will be together with her best girl friend too. Dual relation is better than mono relation but quatro relation sucks. Because showing the same performance to both 4 girls needs extra energy and perfomance. I could say you that dual is the best.
