some hayfever medications help by keeping the sinus clear, also hot showers to draw the blood away from your head thus away from the sinus will ease the pounding!I get them so bad I vomit that also eases the pressure but hurts like hell while in the process of chucking!!Also try to keep nasal passages clear, sounds yukky but a hot shower is good for that too, I thought only men blew there noses in the shower but it works wonders!

Take a very warm, wet wash cloth and lie down with it covering your eyes and nose.
or...
Take a sinus pill about 10-15 minutes before taking a hot shower.
The steam helps clear your head.
Then there is always sitting with your face over a steaming bowl of water with a towel draped over your head.

Alcohol will dehydrate you. That's why old school hangover remedies include soup (mostly water) and if you ask a drinker ways to avoid a hangover they'll tell you the best is to drink plenty of water/fluids before you even go to bed... But, be careful, those toilet dreams will fool you and you'll end up with a wet bed. ;o) Your head feels like this because you are dehydrated. Just slow down on the alcohol (it ages you anyway) and get plenty of water, tea and juice when you do go out drinking.
