Some people have trouble interpereting statements such as:
"Kill disbelievers wherever you find them. If they attack you, then kill them. Such is the reward of disbelievers."
"Have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them"
"Those who make war with Allah and his messenger will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. That is how they will be treated in this world, and in the next they will have an awful doom"

Well, how does the Bible get misinterpeted, Christianity has always had 'followers' who have and still do kill people shouting there pro Christian sayings? Sick and sad people will always find what they want to hear in anything.
But it actually isn't the Qur'an, it is Haddith and Sunnah that is the problem. Sharia law (like stoning an adultress and all that crap), saudi arabian policy and law, the taliban, hijab/burkha etc are all based on haddith and sunnah, not the Qur'an, which a lot of muslims insist on following although i don't, i personally think it is wrong. But there is so much haddith and sunnah that they can often find anything amongst the volumes to suit their needs. A lot of haddith was also composed with bad intentions and ulterior motives in mind. God did protect his word, by forbidding people to follow anyother haddith and sunnah but the final haddith, the Qur'an. God says this the Qur'an is the Final testament, whole and perfect and he warns us "when you preach to your Lord using the Qur'an ALONE they run away in aversion"(17:46). And "shall i seek, other than GOD, as a source of law, when he has revealed to you this book fully detailed?"(6:114) and "we did not leave anything out of this book" (6:3839). It's just a lot of Muslims, good and bad refuse to accept God's demand that this is to the FINAL guide and disobey his will by following religious writngs and practices outside of the Qur'an and what is not in the Qur'an. If people didn't follow the haddith and sunnah there would be none of these injustices for if you look at all the injustuces committed in the name of Islam they don't have their basis in the Qur'an but in haddith and Sunnah .

Islam is without doubt the best religion but the media is in the hands of the westerners who are afraid of Islam. The media is continuously broadcasting and printing information against Islam. I am aware that there are some Muslims who are dishonest, unreliable, who cheat, etc. but the media projects this as though only Muslims are involved in such activities. There are black sheep in every community. I know Muslims who are alcoholics and who can drink most of the non-Muslims under the table. Inspite of all the black sheep in the Muslim community, Muslims taken on the whole, yet form the best community in the world. We are the biggest community of tee-totallers as a whole, i.e. those who don’t imbibe alcohol. Collectively, we are a community which gives the maximum charity in the world.
We can’t judge Islam by its followers? If you want to judge how good Islam is then judge it according to its authentic sources, i.e. the Glorious Qur’an and the Sahih Hadith. Judge Islam by its best follower i.e. Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). The best and the most exemplary follower of Islam by whom you can check how good Islam is, is the last and final messenger of God, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Allah(SWt) has protected the Quran and is still protecting it. that is why it is the same without any alterations, unadulterated and in its original language uptil today. And the whole of it can be memorised by a seven year old kid. Even if you destroy the print copy it has been memorised by billions of muslims the world over.
Previous attempts by the jews/christian in re- writing the Quran has always been exposed and such qurans are destroyed, what other protection are you looking for?
I challange you to get hundreds or even thousands of Qurans from different sources in their original arabic language, compare them if there is any difference even if it is that of a comma(,). I will follow your religion whatever it is.
Do you have such conviction with your Bible? if not, why? and why is it that anytime you quote a bible to a christian he will ask you "which version of the bible are quoting from"? how many versions are there?. I think it is the bible that needs protection because the Quran had already been protected..

Finally, the servant of Allah should be minutely aware of the cost of disobedience. Many people may not realize the consequences of a sin immediately and then tend not to worry, forgetting all about it. Glory be to Allah! How many people did this matter destroy? How many trials did it bring about, and how many blessings did it ruin? Sin is the deceiver of a great number of people, including scholars and eminent persons, let alone the common man. Sins may lie dormant for a time for both believers and non-believers alike; however, the price of sin is high, and it is a debt that will never been forgotten, and one day-not necessarily immediately-it will surely be collected.

OH? What do you think the Crusades did? Or, the Inquisition?
These people wanted power and tho there were some religious nuts in their midst------they killed and killed and killed. The Crusades were the worst period in the history of man.
Followers of Islam do not accept killing and only religious nuts who ''use'' Islam to gain power, or the uneducated misfits they can get to follow them, are like this.
Why don't you try to learn something, instead of just quoting what you read and hear in the media-who thrive on sensationalism?
