I am also allergic to iodine, and on Synthroid. You probally need your dosage adjusted. When you started taking the Synthroid did your doctor tell you to take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, and then wait 1 hour before you eat anything????This is the proper way to take the medication, you could confirm this with your doctor, or pharmacist..I would call your doctor ASAP and tell him what is happening...Good luck.

I guess you could, I was told by my thyroid specialist that there are only 2 types of medication for my overreactive thyroid.
The first one I was taking made me so naseous that I would just lie on the couch and could not move a muscle otherwise I would be sick! Thankfully the last option medicine had no sight affects what so ever.
You should go see your doc and get the medication changed over.
