Ready for another long answer?
I'm not christian, I'm not atheist, I believe in God and all that goes with him, heaven and hell and the devil, but I claim no specific religion. Got that part cleared up for you, yes?
Now, to the question.
A world without people isn't as crewel as you think. "1 out of 100 turtles die." Yes they do, but there's 99 others to carry on the species.
"A zebra eaten by a lion" is a sacrifice so the lion can live. That's why there's more zebras than lions, it's called "the food chain." It's killed quickly, as the lion doesn't want a hoof to the face. A shattered jaw by a well placed kick, can and does happen, then the lion, not being able to hunt or eat, starves to death. BAD ZEBRA for making the poor lion suffer.
No one said the world was a nice place. Every species has it's pit falls. Lions to zebras. Human to human and anything else that roams God's green earth.
I think you're comparing God to nature and they're two different things. I don't think you're trying to be mean about, I just think you're confused about it.

Christ did not teach us that God makes us suffer, but that suffering is an inherent element of life. Only through God can we come to find some respite through the pain of life. God calls us to be happy, even in the midst of suffering. It is a very narrow and difficult road to travel, but the only one that promises peace.
as to the suffering of all living thins, all life is sustained by life. This planet is fuelled by the sun and the smallest forms of life at the bottoms of all food chains take their energy from the sun. Then, they are in turn consumed by another living being, etc.
Yes, it would be incredibly painful to be eaten alive. But no, the lion is not a sinner, any more than the farmer is who raises animals to slaughter. The lion is without self-awareness and therefore, conscience. The farmer is without intent to inflict harm on his animals and does all he can to ensure his animals are healthy and content. You must be very lonely to feel the planet is "stupid" and should be obliterated. How much pain would there be in that moment of obliteration? Can you not see the joy in life in the smile of a child, a nursing animal, a old liion laying down to die? Life leads to death leads to life. The great circle is a metaphor. A Christian is called to take note of the shadows, but to concentrate on the light.
God bless you and help you to see. By the way, why do you think the sea turtle that dies at three weeks of age, suffered for those three weeks. Do you not think it relished in the long climb down the beach topped by the embrace of the sea. The turtle, if it could feel at all, must have felt joy at that moment, no? Each moment for an animal is where it is at. They don't sit around fearing other animals or death, they are alert to the possibility, but they are not frozen with fear. They are downright happy a lot of the time. Ever seen a new dear walk for the first time? A zebra colt united with its parent? A lion watch the sunset. Animals are capable of fear and happiness. They just don't concentrate on the fear as much as you think they do.

Suffering and sin are not necessarily connected. While it's true that making the choices to lead a sinful life is more likely to cause suffering. Making poor choices, e.g. abusing drugs will cause suffering eventually. Good people also suffer. The Old Testament account of Job is an example of a righteous person suffering.
We are here in this life to experience an opposition in all things. We have to experience both pain and pleasure, good and bad to know the difference between good & evil and to learn to make good choices.
As for animals, there is a system of balances this world was predicated upon. Carnivores eat flesh of other animals and keep the animal kingdom population in check. Albeit, man certainly has disrupted this balance as we expand globally and prove to be poor stewards.
I believe animals have souls as well. I don't think they have to learn good form evil as man does. I also believe animals will also experience immortality.

Everybody, and everything has to die sometime. I personally dont believe God lets animals suffer, he is a merciful God (read the word)! Animals dont have souls, so no matter how they die, its not they same thing. Besides, everyone tries so hard to make sense of life, why is it so evil, why does everyone suffer? People still dont get it! This is but the dream/nightmare/ test before our REAL lives begin in eternity with him. Life was never meant to be easy, God is just deciding still who is worthy to live with him in the real PARADISE!!!! Good Luck and God speed

Well let's start with who told you God allows people to suffer for their sins? Jesus died on the cross so we do not have to suffer for our sins when we die. Do you blame God for the way your life is? God created each animal to feed another animal this is known as the circle of life. Man suffers and dies from tiny micro organisms called cancer, aids, and other bacterias. Each creature from the amoeba all the way up to man has a predator. You need to focus on what you are saying and think it all the way through. Research your thoughts and learn why things happen.

i ask my self that question all the time and I'm working hard on finding an answer, i just cant see god creating something just to die and that be it. that would be a wast of a soul. i know humans are not reincarnated but what about animals, if animals dont go to heaven or hell then are they reincarnated. i dont think i would want to be some place that didn't have animals in it. to me Paradise would consist of humans and animals living in harmony

All living creatures are part of the life cycle. You are right - animals do suffer. It's just part of the big picture in life and supposedly animals don't have feelings. I believe God is right there with suffering animals just as he is with everything else.

The Bible says that in the earliest days of creation, all of God's creation, including animals, were vegetarian. When God blessed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, He said to them: "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be food for you. And to the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground--everything that has the breath of life in it--I give every green plant for food. And it was so" (Genesis 1:29-30).
It appears that all creation was vegetarian until after the waters of the Great Flood receded and Noah and his family were left to replenish the earth.
Genesis 9:1-3 says: "Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. The fear and dread of you will fall upon all of the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, now I give you everything."
It is interesting to note that because they didn't eat meat, it could have been one of the reasons that Noah was able to so easily gather all the animals into the ark--and explains why the animals did not devour each other while they were in it.
After the flood, why did God now deem it fit for His creation to eat each other? A possible clue that comes to mind is this: Man's wickedness had just reached its fullness, and God had destroyed almost all of the inhabitants of the earth because of it. That flood had somehow changed the order of things--and it was as if Noah and his family were like Adam and Eve, beginning things all over again, but without the innocence of Adam and Eve. The first world, which had been created in perfection, was ruined because of sin. For man to function in the post-flood world, evidently God allowed for the eating meat that would become a part of our existence. The distinguishing mark on this particular era of history would be having to live with the blight of sin.
Because man chose to sin, he lost his proper position of authority over God's creation; he lost it in the Garden of Eden, and then it appears that he lost even more when God decided to flood the world because of man's wickedness. When man lost his original position on the earth, it caused all of creation to lose its proper position as well. And now, everything has been tainted with the perverted character of the Wicked One. Even certain animals must be destroyed at times because demons have entered them. In the Old Testament, when an animal killed someone or was vicious, it was commanded to be destroyed.
When jesus comes back again to take up his followers he promises us this in heaven:
Isaiah 11:6-9:
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Calm down!
Life is life... some people attribute it to God, others are more sensible.
Don't get angry with the Christians (or any religious people)... they are just poor misguided, brainwashed, fools. It's not their fault; their parents were probably the same.
Some people will say that it's "God's plan", which basically is a narcotic for those with nasty lives.
