Just talk to him like he was a person in the room. Pray - which is having a conversation with God that you don't always speak aloud - the conversation takes place within you.
Sometimes you don't know if he is talking to you. Other times a thought will come to you and be persistent in coming back over a few minutes or even days and weeks. It's when you ask a question and an answer will pop into your head seemingly out of no where - that is God.
Other times he does not answer right away - because you are not ready to hear what he has to say at that time. And sometimes his answer is "no"

The practice of prayer is that you talk out loud, whisper to yourself, or inner speak in your mind. If God is real or aware, then that should get through.
You probably wont know if he's talking to you. You may think it is your own mind or conscience answering yourself based on what your subconcious believes or wants to hear.
Most people that DO believe they hear God, or OTHER voices in their head, are usually diagnosed with a mental disorder which causes auditory hallucinations.
God would not want you to be aware of hearing the "voice of God" in your head or anywhere else because you and everyone else would be unable to verify it...and deem it a symptom. therefore....let your good conscience and hope be your guide.

I talk to God, mostly in prayer. I listen to Him. He speaks in a still small voice, and I always agrees with the Bible.

God is everywhere. In your silence you can talk to Him through prayer or meditation.
God creatively uses difficulties sometimes to remind us of His presence.Everytime you wake up..God is there..giving you the chance for another life. Everytime you get your goals..He is there for you

Its called prayer.
God can speak to you through His Word, the Bible, or through your thoughts or even other people.

one talks to THE DEITY by Payer and meditation. THE DEITY respond through various ways generally when we are quit and in a meditative state of consciousness.

God talks to us through the Bible and He hears all who repent and turn to Jesus and asks Jesus to save them from hell. That is why Jesus came to earth
