You won't lose the weight quickly.
You may see a sharp rise in the drop of weight the first few weeks. Anywhere between 5-9lbs but don't get discouraged when this drops to around 2-4lb no matter how much you run.
Eat properly. Don't skip meals thinking you'll knock of an extra pounds, you won't and it'll work against losing weight as body will be quick to believe you're in the wilderness and hard up on food and burn at a much slower rate to conserve energy.
Keep yourself hydrated throughout the run. Eat a snack full in carbs and protien after the run to aid the healing torn muscles.
Consider taking up other activities other than running, such as swimming/weights and any kind of sport. As well as aiding weightloss and body toning you'll have fun and wonder whether you're doing it to lose weight or the sheer enjoyment of it and the time will pass quickly!

For starters, congrats on the baby! My little one is a year old now and I delivered via c-section as well. Don't worry too much about the weight, it will melt right off of you, you just have to give it a little time but walking on the treadmill is an excellent way to kick start things! My method for getting a really good workout is to go buy a few CD's that I know have some really good rockin' music on them. My rule is that I am only allowed to listen to them while I'm on the treadmill. I find that I'll stay on my treadmill up to 30 minutes longer than planned because I don't want to stop listening to my new CD! I had a lot more to lose than you so I did the treadmill in combination with the Cambridge Diet. Link is below in case you're interested but it doesn't really sound as if you need any additional help. Enjoy your baby and keep the exercising, it will really help to reduce your stress!

Just keep doing what your doing.
Increase the intensity (as much as you can tolerate) and work out for an hour per day.
Jog and walk for variety. Put a tv there or use your ipod to prevent boredom.
Eat healthy as usual, within a month you should start seeing results.
