I'm not looking for political answers, but religion & spirituality answers. Canadians: Has y(our) prime MINISTER become as a cheerleader of GWB's awful lawful 'rule of law', of such "law worketh wrath", which "God hath NOT appt'd us unto"?

This law law business of $acrifice has been promoted to the world by Pope John-Paul in 1999, then by GWB in 2001, and now by PM Stephen Harper in 2006. Have they not read the Holy Bible, which flat out says the will of God is: "I will have mercy, and not sacrifice", and the "not" part is notably not then, not now, not ever? Do they know not that God never desired sacrifice for sin, nor ever took pleasure in watching such sacrifice-all law law? Ps 40:6; Ps 51:16; Hos 6:6; Mt 9:13; Mt 12:7; Heb 10:all.

Forgive "them", for they "know not" what they do (Lk 23:34) & it's notably what "they say" which brings sudden "destruction" of the "no escape" sort on "them" (Mt 15:11; 1Thess 5:3).

Perhaps, as UN says, the bigger issue in Afghanastan is drugs: opium(heroin). It supplies 92% of world's supply. Canadians now dying (ultimate sacrifice) to protect USA propaganda about it. Not to mention real issue ww is grace or law, a matter of life or death, to us all in the "third day" has also began with ww "sorrows", due to sow dog gone much law law being believed instead of grace and truth out prevailing.

I do not practise any of the monotheistic religions, so I can't answer your question in your terms (your scripture), and I won't try to transpose it into my terms (my scripture), but I think I can give you a kind of answer. It will have some political overtone to it. I don't think it's possible to separate politics from life and especially from politicians. I don't think Harper (or Bush for that matter) are making any "sacrifices."
The only thing sacrificed are other people's children into the fire of war. The people, and they are people, that are called our enemies also have families and real lives. They have the same kind of intelligence that we have. In this context, I was shocked at how when the Canadian soldiers were killed in the last offensive action the military and the press stressed that the casualties were high with the enemy. This was supposedly presented as a kind of consolation for our (Canadian) dead. There were numbers like 80 and even at one point 200 bandied about. This is up to 200 families mourning real human beings. This is the most crass and base form of tribalism. We're also told that it is impossible to talk, to negotiate with the people on the enemy side. They are always simply referred to in the dehumanised form of "terrorist" or "Taliban terrorist," and the official line is you can't negotiate with terrorists - end of story. This is an attempt to use propaganda to convince people that there is no alternative to, and no escape from the (il)logic of, war.

considering that's what they have been making plans for a protracted time, they elect to get rid of all "rogue" countries and function each and all the main effective governments--no count how brutal or how civilized to be in a international cooperation. The UN , or maybe though call they'll call it while it is worldwide government, would be the mother government of the earth.

Perhaps then you would like to be the one to volunteer to take that message to Afghanistan. Someone should maybe tell the Taliban forces that and it sounds like you would likely be the one that could say it best.
