Obviously not, and the stupid thing is that they never pick the EMPTY bags up, despite giving a time and data for them to be left out.

If they cut down the number bags per week there would be less theft from clothes lines. Some people just cannot say no, they feel the need to fill the bags at any price!
Why should law abiding people have to buy back there underware from the charity shop just so that do gooders can feel better?
Why can`t they admit they dont have an endless supply of unwanted goods and give money instead?
Leave my undies alone.......i`m warning you.....you know who you are!

I don't believe charities think we have an endless supply or unwanted items. However, there are so many people that throw usable items in the garbage and do not care about people in need. There are many people in need but many many more that have to give but won't. Try to be patient with them and maybe you can go to your neighbors, church, friends and family and ask them to help out.

Good question.

No, not all charities are as greedy as the ones you seem to have in your town. We usually get bags in the spring, around Christmas, and again in the summer. This is so you can give your unwanted things to your favorite Charity and they can help the ones that need it most.

This is rather irritating. Once you have given to a charity, it seems like all others will be knocking at your door. And even if you have given to a favorite charity, or one that you know of that has helped people you care for, then every little charity that you've never heard of will be knocking on your door. And being charity, it's hard to know of a polite way to tell them, "Not this time," without feeling guilty, even though you know you may have already given to other organizations.

Because there are 5 charities that think you have alot of stuff to give per week?

Anyway enjoy the free bags while you can.

You can try to contact the companies to request that they stop sending bags that often. Just check the bags for the contact numbers.

They are mostly scam merchants, who sell the stuff in Eastern Europe, and give £50 per year to the British Heart Foundation (or whatever), just to keep it legal.

Maybe you should start a charity that collects bags?

Yes, I know what you mean. You donate something to a charity, and your name is distributed to all the charities, and they don't take into consideration that if you give to all of them, you'll have NOTHING left for yourself, and you will be in need of charity.
