Christianity and Islam are the two universal religions in the world--each wanting to convert people to their way of thinking. This is one answer.

Two, you will find that the more Orthodox of each religion will use quotes to alot of their replies to questions. There are liberals in each religion, tho.

Of the two-my own opinion-the Islam answers bother me alot less than the Christian answers. To me, the religion makes alot more sense.------------just my opinion.

I am Jewish, and glad we do not go out to find converts.

Hi,
I'm a Christian and I do use my Bible in some of my answers. For Christians the Bible is THE authority on everything, so that's why we turn to it. We turn to it for answers to our own situations. We also think for ourselves. We have to think about what the Bible is saying to us. If you talk to enough Christians you'll see that we don't all see things exactly the same way. If we did, there wouldn't be so many different denominations. I've also noticed some of the anger expressed in answers by some Christian people. That makes me sad, because I don't think that's a good witness for Jesus, but the fact is, we're all human. We all react to different things in different ways. Also, we're not all in the same place spiritually. Some are new Christians without a lot of experience under their belt. Some are older. Some Christians seek the Lord and learn from their experiences and grow and mature spiritually and some become Christians and then just kind of stop at that. Sit in church and think that's all they need to do. When you see these varying answers from people who are Christians you just have to remember that we're all different. We come from different backgrounds and we're in different places in our spiritual journey through life. I can think back on when I was a "baby" Christian and be really embarrassed about some of the things I did or said, but it was all part of the learning and growing process. I don't think I'll ever stop learning until I die. That's when I graduate. (-:

The answer is quite simple. Relgious people tend to believe that they are all powerful and know everything there is to know about religion and God, whether it be muslims, christians, or any other religion.

If you disagree with them, you are a heathen, and do not deserve to live and breath, or so they make it seem.

I have lost many good friends because I do not believe in god. Ok, I guess that makes you such a better person and unable to be friends with me because I don't share your opinion and I ask you not to preach to me all the time...

When I was down and out once, long ago when I was younger, I stopped into a "Church" in Chicago to ask for some help because I was hungry and our car had broken down while we were trying to move. The "Preacher" I spoke with insisted I spend an hour listening to him about god before I would get any food, so I agreed. He said that anyone who did not believe in his god would go to hell. When I reminded him that, overall, christianity is only a fraction of all the people on earth, there's muslims, bhuddists, and so many others, he said that the road to hell was wide and they could walk down it hand in hand 7 across.

This is just a small example of how narrow minded and conceited most religious people I have encountered seem to be. If they can't get you to see it their way, they want nothing to do with you. And then they have the nerve to pray to god and use the term "Love thy neighbor"... talk about the ultimate in hippocrites.

now when one doesnt want to get counters then why post something that hurts other's beleifs and sensitivities. we are educated and that is what differentiates us from the uneducated people who commit crimes. then why is it that inspite of our educations, we are not polite in our way of reasoning and asking.?

remember -- ONLY IF THERE IS AN ACTION WILL THERE BE AN EQUAL AND OPPOSITE REACTION. its cool until one points finger at others, but the grapes turn sour when fingers are pointing back at u.

EDIT: to KAMINI -- i am not in a crusade dear, i want people to know that muslims are just humans like others. some are good while others are crazy bunch of monkeys blowing up people. no one is perfect and every one makes mistakes. its just that its highlighted when its a muslim but sealed up when someone else is involved. i agree people are tearing my religion -- both people within my religion as well as those who do not belong to my religion.

who is most widely affected today? a muslim. if osama thinks that he is helping us he is extremely wrong. it is worsening the entire situation. Allah did not say go kill someone if they dont agree, He said teach people about Islam not make them beleive, follow and accept it.

at the end of the day, it is a muslim who is hurt the most. it is his God who is being called a fake. it is his prophet that is called a false prophet with such ephithets. it is his religion that is always going to stake. and i ask everyone to get to know Islam from people like u and me, people who live in peace and who want others to live in peace too.

It is a matter of faith. People believe what they believe. If you were raised in a faith that was true to their religion, you would feel equally as strong. As a Christian, I believe that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to God the Father and Heaven. I believe that because it is a teaching in My Bible. Through my experiences, I've come to accept the Bible as Truth, not "A" truth. I don't bash others, however I do stand up for what I believe in and yes it is narrow-minded not to open myself to other views, but since I'm right, then I will always be perceived as arrogant, until Christ returns.

Christianity and Islam are offshoot of Judaism or are set of triplets from Abrahamic religion. Hostile, ruthless and rigid.
