Adjust the colour & brightness. Buy a screen filter. If you wear glasses to read use an older prescription. (an optometrist told me this) Black on white is the easiest contrast for children learning to read, I've been told, but I don't remember why!

This is what's wrong with e-books. It's good that so much literature is available on-line, but reading it from there is just not the same experience as sitting in a comfy spot with a solid book. If you want to read for free, go the the library and get a real book.

Get some reading glasses, they work for the computer too. Also make sure the room you're in is light, the screen won't glare so much. It's the same principle as reading a book.

"i understand that gazing television, enjoying computing device video games is undesirable for the eyes by way of demonstrate" i don't understand the variety you understand that , because of the fact this isn't any longer authentic. The demonstrate isn't at fault. Passing long sessions of close artwork without blinking adequate and without breaks is what motives the subject. precisely the comparable difficulty can happen analyzing user-friendly paper books. this isn't any longer undesirable on your eyes, yet could reason tiredness and eyestrain whilst finished to extra without breaks. The displays do no longer emit something that could harm the eyes, this is all in how we use them.
