Is it ok to lie for Jesus?

e.g. to tell people Darwin recanted when he did NOT
e.g. to tell people that neo-Darwinists claim that we evolved from monkeys
e.g. to claim the 2nd law of thermodynamics prohibits evolution, when it does not
e.g. to claim radiocarbon dating is inaccurate, when it is not
e.g. to tell people their is 'more evidence for jesus than for julius cesar' when we have coins with him on, articles written by him, his friends and his enemies.

in no way do the comments above claim jesus or the bible to be false, or does it riddicle your religion, just the LIES so many tell

It's called "pious fraud" you find it everywhere in christian life. One of the best examples is Padre Pio, the "stigmatic" (read:fraud) He was exposed several times but the Vatican saw that by making him a saint, even more sheep would flock to his old church. And that means MONEY. And that, after all, is the main reason for religion. It is big buisness.
So they lie to make a buck, just like every used car salesman out there. If only christians were as trustworthy as the average used car salesman....

I have heard that Darwin recanted but would never say one way or the other , I was not their.

I believe he would if he had an electron microscope or knew about DNA and codes for building amino acids. I am no expert, I came to Christ through faith. I am also not ignorant.

I understand that Darwin did say that if we found irreducably complex machines within our world then evolution would be a false premise, I don't know that he said this but I believe he would have agreed with the premise.

The simplest cells in out bodies are more complex than the entire infrastructure of New York City. This could have happen by accident I guess is the next argument, but the odds would be about like rolling a thousand dice and all of them landing on their edge at the same time.

Read a few new books, I would reccomend "A case for a creator" by Lee Strobel, he was an atheist and a news paper reporter, he found a lot of problems with what he thought were the true "FACTS".

I appreaciate that you are trying to be fair, I challenge you to read this book and then decide.

I would say look at gravity as an inticement (to read the book). If gravity was placed on a scale like an old fashioned radio knob with the range being from 0 through 1 billion, our gravity would be set to 1. This doesn't seem like much of an issue except if it were set to 0 everything would float away and their could be no life. If it were set to 2 then the earth could be only 36 meters in diameter and no life could survive.

Do you believe this happened by chance or over vast amounts of time? Silly old me thinks God spoke it into existence. I think God could have spoken it into existence and made it appear billions of years old. I don't question God I just praise God.

The Word of God says that the wisdom of man is foolishness in Gods eyes, I don't think that means we should not strive to learn, just that Gods knows and understands so much that we are incapable of.

Good luck and God Bless.

Would you please show a single example of one species become another (longer beaks don't count).
Can you please tell us where we can find a fossil of one of these half-way/one third creatures?
If you can not do this, can you please explain to us liars how a cat came into existence when there were not cats prior? You may pick your animal if you can't find the cat. You can ignore humans since they still haven't found that one.
Perhaps you may find it easier to demonstrate which reptile suddenly morphed into a mammal. There certainly should be some hard evidence.
You might want to take the Permian period as your starting point and discover how so many creatures suddenly appeared in the next period without the millions of years for them to quietly hide in caves while their bodies changed from articulate crinoids into turtles.
You see the problem people like you make, is you equate disbelief in evolution with a religious alternative. Religion on the other hand allows for belief in evolution even when it is not true. So when religious people state there is more evidence of Divine creation they are only referring to the belief in their eyes since most animals, fleas if you like, appear out of nowhere rather than taking a gazillion years to evolve. All Darwin believers are ever able to state, is there must be a missing link, don't worry we will find it. Very well, we are waiting.

well you are at least the third person to now state that a theory to be greater then a law of science. it is hard to imagine in the primal soup that suddenly life was able to jump from disorder to order. then after making that jump being able to survive in an isolated envorment. you have evolutionist that claim that we match chimps DNA by 99.7%. also a few weeks ago in the paper someone who found a fossil that claims to be" missing link" between man like creature living on the ground or in the trees. and even he said that the brian was different from the the tree creatures.
Darwinist claim that he never met with Lady Hope which is also a lie. here is a nice article on that.

Be easy on them .
They only repeat what is hammered into their heads from the time they are little until the time they die .
Most were indoctrinated to believe by their most trusted relatives ,their parents .
I was once "religious " until I came to terms of my true feelings ,
I really was shown no proof of any of these stories in the bible .
No one would answer me Why ,if god is everlasting and LIVING ,can`t we see him.
I always felt I was just going through the motions.
I wanted to be accepted and followed everyone else .
Then I grew up and saw what life was really like .
I saw these religious people put down others because they didn`t believe .Sinned over and over again, lied ,committed adultery and even murdered.
So I went and became a free thinking and caring human being ,no longer pretending .

I think it's more adamant denial of reality so they lie to self first, then when they finally believe it they try to tell same story to others and politics is born

the struggle of what to believe, usually what you want to be true not what is true

truth is relative, Einstien

for some it may be true in a limited scope of thier own exclusive circles, where things can be proved with a claim not with fact

for others, we like evidence and reason, facts and math that adds up

No lies! Darwin did recant on his death bed. Monkey evolution was taught to me in school. Radiocarbon is too very inaccurate. Pss- (whisper)carbon decays when it comes into contact with water.

I don't know or care about any of the points you mentioned. And I am not a liar, thank you very much.

I don't know the answer to creation vs. evolution. I believe in creation absolutely, but somehow, I think evolution has a place in history as well. I don't think the two concepts are as mutually exclusive as everyone portrays them.

I do know this: The only way to get to Heaven is through Jesus Christ our Lord. Whether my ancestors were monkeys, white boys, or sheep is not important to my salvation.

I think most are not lies per say.
One of the faults with Christianity is gullibility in the "Well if the "Christian web site told me it must be the truth" but the never check out the facts for themselves.

Paul tell us to "STUDY to show yourself approved" one of the instructions in the Bible that is too easily ignored.
