I think you know the answer to that! If you want to date other women, then you are just keeping your options open by stringing her on while you look for something better!

Six months in a relationship and you haven't had this conversation means its safe to assume that you are already "exclusive" in relationship terms, so no you can't just go ahead and start seeing other people without first discussing this with your girlfriend. I
would be very very suprised if you got a warm reception with your suggestion, so I'd have a good long think about what you want before you do this, as I'd say in all likeliehood when you broach the subject she's going to break up with you.
So it's dating her....or dating someone else...choice is yours.

I think people go exclusive far too quickly in the uk.
Hoever there are implied things about an exclusive relationship, are you making out, having sex, made plans, level of intimacy.
I know it's unlikly but it is possible you havn't got intimate yet so it might not exclusive
relationships move at a different pace with different folks.
Your best bet is to take care "not mention about other women" and talk to your girlfriend about where you are?
Then decide where you want to be and try and work it out from there.
if you are further forward then you want to be in the relationship, it might be you have to go backwards, sometimes relationships don't survive this !!
Be mature, consider what you want, but be in full communication with your g/f about it.
Hope it works out.

after six months I would assume ye would be exclusive! I seriously doubt she'll be impressed when you tell her that you want to date other women! The question begs that ifyou've been with her six months - surely ye have something good together - why ruin it by dating other women?? I wouldnt stand for it if I were her...

Well to start off if you have been together in a girlfriend boyfriend relationship then you probably are exclusive. I don't think it is right if you start sleeping with other girls then what about her, what if she starts sleeping with other guys. You wouldn't like that would you. Don't just think about what in your pants think about her feelings. Six months is just a long time to just give up on.

I would think that after 6 months and the fact that you are calling her your girlfriend, she may have arrived at the assumption that you are in fact exclusive.
If you're not, then tell the poor girl.

This is a cultural thing, I've heard of it being the case in New York ... I suppose you can still 'date' (which I presume is polite speak for ****) other women. But it's not very nice ... especially if she's going exclusive for you.

Is she dating other guys? If not than she could think there is a common understanding that it is already exclusive. But if she is you can. But buddy if you call her your girlfriend, chances are she is being loyal you should also or tell her first.

If you are not exclusive with her, she's not your girlfriend. She's just a date! So then you can date other women and she can date other men.
