my son died 4 and half weeks ago in hospital.citalopram was detected in his urine by the lab but they couldn,t tell how much as the didnt have the equipment. as the drug was given to my son without his knowledge i concider this manslaughter but the hospital destroyed his urine sample even though it had been suggested that of acute ingestion what can i do about it. im not looking for compo just justice for my son as he was retarded and although he was 30 he didnt deserve to die so young

he did and the cause of death is listed as unascertained and has opened and adjerned an inquest

Take your suspicions to the police. If your son's body has not been cremated there are all sorts of tests that can be done. A murder of a retarded human is still a murder.

Yep. Medical here with a bit of legal experience as well, go on....

I would hope that the doctor certifying this death would have reported this case to the coroner. Otherwise they must have been certain and happy with the cause of death. You should look at the death certificate

Please accept my sympathy for the loss of your son.
If there is something that you believe is wrong, contact the police and see what they can do to help. Doctors are unlikely to admit wrongdoing in a hospital because of the "risk management" people. Talk to the coroner's office as well.
