because Jesus had no religion, and religious cults built up around Jesus and faith in God are for the most part, money oriented...some of the money is justified and may go for good works, but in too many cases, the money is used just to enhance the life style of the leader, or leaders of the religion..

First answer, wrong.

Jesus said sell everything you own and buy a sword or two swords.

Then go out into the world with nothing but the shoes on your feet, a cloak, a robe and that sword and spead the word.

It's in the Bible.

The "riches" and "wealth" Jesus was talkling about was spiritual.

Jesus also said look at the good things you have already.

He also said there will always be poor people, both literally and spiritually.

I feel certain Jesus did not intend for Church and Church leaders to be as pompus as they sometimes are. Afterall, he wasn't too impressed with the Pharasees.

He did NOT preach poverty! He said himself that some of the wealthiest people are of his church and kingdom.
He preached AMONG the poor, and taught that we should help and support and give to those less fortunate than ourselves!
He was poor, just to show his humility (born into these circumstances anyway).
He showed that it does not matter status to get into heaven, but by the heart.

Jesus preached poverty?

I think when all accounts are read, Jesus preached to not let greed get you, to remember that where your treasure is that is where your heart will be, and the 'love of money' is bad.

Another stupid liberal lie. Jesus never preached poverty. Now go find a line in the Bible, take it out of context and come back and repost.
