I think what I love about this question is how simple it is. Just a question, really. When you read it, there's no implied judgement, anger, or opinion.

And yet....

Several responses ATTACK you for your arrogance, and then turn around and say something even MORE arrogant.

Why is it that people who claim to live their lives with "Christian charity" are always so vicious, rude, insulting, and even VIOLENT in the face of a question that might in any way disagree with their belief system? And your question didn't even challenge that belief system!

It just makes me ILL.

Because you know that if their priest, pastor, father, rabbi asked them the SAME question, they'd smile and calmly give a reasonable and thoughtful answer without all the bile and hatred.

JUST ILL.

I would not give God any advice. Only a fool would assume to advice God on anything.

which god? that always amazes me. we should know what god you worship?

"god, since you already possess the knowledge of what is going to happen, why did you kill all those people in the 'great flood'?"

god would then stammer and stumble...'uh uh, i, bec.., well i like to confuse people'.

my advice: "with your infinite powers, oh god, please create a perfect world next time. this one you created with many flaws (in fact, it appears to have natural selection!), and your people (whichever god), constantly kill in your name."

god would bow his head and admit he is an impostor, and i would say, "yeah, i thought it was a bit cheesy that we would meet here at mcdonald's."
