During my younger years I experienced many colds. I rarely experience them now since having changed my diet. I eat very little processed food. Lots of vegetables and fruit. I drink only pure clean rain water and lots of it to flush out my body. No dairy products except small amounts of cheese. Wholemeal bread instead of white bread. I stay away from sugar as much as possible. It takes some discipline to avoid the bad food and to just eat the good food, but it is well worth it. I am 55 years old. I take no medicine of any kind and don't have a doctor. Good food is my medicine. I hope this helps you and your daughter.

Try 4 Life Transfer Factor Plus Chewable (very pleasant citrus flavour) once a day together with Vitamin C 500mg. Will boost immune system. My kids 7 and 5 used to have colds and cough all the time. Visit doctor every 3 weeks but now maybe 3-4 months and even if down with cold, OK within 3 days with anti-histamine and Vicks. I know how you feel....Good luck.

My daughter had a slight milk allergy. She would have the runny nose symptoms of a cold. We gave her vanilla soy milk for about a year and limited all other dairy. And now she's fine! I am just careful with the amount of dairy per day! Give this a try! It's a lot less traumatic than running tests.

Have the child checked for asthma. Get a warm air humidifier and put it in her bedroom and turn it on at night while she sleeps. Also get a wash cloth and put some vapor rub on it and hang it on the wall above the bed. This will help get rid of the cold and prevent them. But have her checked for asthma. My daughter had asthma and some times you can mistake asthma complications with a common cold.

Buy Echinacea at GNC. Is a natural booster of the inmune system. Also give her a daily Vitamin C. Both are for when she doesn't have a cold so she doesn't keep getting sick, probably her defenses are low, this will help a lot.

Give her Honey. One teaspoonful honey should be added to lukewarm milk before sleeping will improve her resistance also. Try to give it regularly in winters. This is a full proof remedy and I had seen that my daughter's didn't face cold even in the tough terrin of Kargil.

are you sure it is a cold and not allergies? I suffer from allergies which makes it seems like I have a cold all year year. Have your child tested for allergies. If she is allergic to Spring and Fall time mold then it will give the appearance of all year round cold symptoms. Good luck.
