It's normal - and cute! I had a gray tiger named 'Baby' who made me laugh out loud. I didn't even know she could do that until one day I was angry and threw a wadded up piece of paper across the room. Yup, she brought it right back to me - like she thought I made a mistake or something. :)

My siamese has a stuffed animal he is attathed to. he plays fetch with it and even sleeps with it at night. Cats can be trained like a dog and even can walk on a leash. My bengal kitten takes baths with me every chance she gets and loves the water. Each cat is different however.

My cat does it all the time - also the cat we had before this one did it. I think most predatory animals could be trained to fetch.

I think it also strengthens the bond between you and your cat because the cats that fetch seem to be much more affectionate.

It is funny though, I love it.

Absolutely normal. Mine does too, and so do plenty of others.

I love it when we play fetch... he needs the exercise, and after a 16-hour-day at work, I don't :) It just means your cat wants to play some more with that toy and with you. Is sweet, isn't it? :)

My family has had a few trick cats. Bum Kitty, my brothers cat, would "shake hands" Boomer, one of mine would fetch a drinking straw. Only a straw though. I couldn't get him to generalize the trick.
Current cat will fetch the caps to soda bottles. Only soda bottles and she has to start the game. She brings me the bottle cap first. I think she thinks she has taught me a trick. "Watch me make the hairless ape throw the bottle cap."

I had a couple of cats that liked doing that. They can also be taught to come when you call, to go for walks like a dog, to use the toilet, and a lot of other neat tricks. (careful about the toilet, sometimes they get fascinated by the flushing and will flush over and over just to see the water run, like some little kids do)

My Siamese does-his favorite time is about 5 a.m and when I get off from work. He will play fetch for as long as you will play with him. He loves his toy mice, balls, and believe it or not pipe cleaners best of all.
