DONT use fresh eggs. As the egg gets a few days older, the bond between the egg and the shell begins to loosen. To test this, use a brown egg and a white egg. Age one several days, boil fresh egg and aged egg toghther. See which one peels the easiest.

either boil them with a little vinegar in the water or after they are hard boiled then drain hot water and replace with cold tap water and let sit in cold water til they are cooled then peel, cracking top and bottom of egg first to release the air pocket. Fresh eggs are the hardest to peel due to the fact they do not have an air pocket
due to their freshness. Any eggs from the store should not pose a problem due to the fact they are stored for several months.

Put salt in the water as the eggs are cooking. When trying to peel off the shell ,run under cold tap water. Try to begin peeling at the indented end of the egg. (All eggs have a dimple on one or both ends).

Use the newest eggs you have for hard boiled. After boiling, run cool water over them in a colander. When the eggs are still warm, roll the shell between the palms of your hands or on a hard surface to loosen up the shell...start at an end and peel back slowly......usually they just fall off practically. If you refrigerate them hard boiled and leave then to long, they will break up. Also, sometimes, regardless of what you do....one has to be stubborn. Good Luck!

Do not put the eggs into the water until it is already boiling. Drop with a tablespoon, carefully so they do not break. Cook for 12 minutes exactly, and when you take them off stove, drain hot water and insert them into cold. Use a teaspoon, slightly break the shell, and the curve of the smaller spoon will scoop off the shell without the eggs sticking or without cutting into the egg. I do this every morning with my hubby and 3 kids. So, trust me, I know this works every time.

Immediately after boiling run them under water for about a minute. The shells will peel clean.

After years of doing this, I think I have found the answer. I boil my eggs for five minutes, remove from heat , cover with a lid for fifteen minutes. Remove and place in cold water. When you peel them, they will come right off. Good luck!!

leave the eggs in a bowl of cold water and let eggs cool down completely. Then the egg shell should remove easily.
