Saved?

Given some of the things those wierdos label 'vice', I'm glad I'm not saved. From superstition, yes I am.

Well, just in case I am going to be good. If you are a Southern Baptist you will disappear with Jesus when he comes back. I wouldn't go as far as to say that a lot of it is "hog wash" but it is kind of hard to swallow. Now I think Jesus had some really good intention in his quest but the boundaries of religion created some what of a myth around most of his achievements such as walking on water, or ice as it may very well have been. Now I have spent some time out on the thin ice and I can tell you that you do pray while you are out there. Like most Americans I keep religion tucked away in the back of my mind and out of the daily functions of my life. Morally it can be a great lift for daring people. I would rather see a script written with common sense in mind and of course thou shall not co-vent thy neighbors wife [even if she is hot]. Maybe I could get Jesus, Mohammad and God to come down and help me write a new updated Internet friendly version, we could call it "Gods common sense bible". I would exclude any super natural events that are suppose to take place because of your profound belief system. I also would be up front with my advice for example: A man was born in the wrong place at the wrong time, can God save him from self destruction? My answer would be like "son you were dealt a really crappy hand and unfortunately you are going to have to work extra hard to gain an upper hand on your terrible situation". As you can see God doesn't have time to save everyone all of the time. The dip stick has to work harder and remain calm until he takes control of his sub par life. God also has a lot of inquires into illness related disorders. It is quite obvious that humans are easy prey for diseases and hardship. Of course we would have to change the way we think if we were really going to address our over all human quality of life. Life isn't fair and it never has been.

I had a friend once who went to school. He was telling others about Jesus. He asked this one little boy, Have you ever been saved? The little boy said, Yes i was saved yesterday when my sister caught me, falling down the stairs.

I believe the way I do because it works for me. what I believe to be The Path may not work for you and what you believe to be The Path may not work for me. this is why we have free will and why there are so many different Religious Belief Systems. the problem is when differing Belief Systems try to change differing Belief Systems through force as this is not showing respect each Belief System is supposed to receive.

Saved from sin:

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10
