He may have jumped off of a fence and landed on some glass, see if you can get him out from under the bed and if you can check to see there is nothing in the pad like a splinter or something,if there is, take him to the vet.
If it looks ok just bathe it in some warm salt water to kill any germs and keep him in until wound closes. If it swells or anything, you should get him checked out at the vets.

You DO know that one of the signs of a cat being poisoned is that it bleeds from its paws etc? Take it to the vet for goodness sakes to make sure it only has a cut pad.

I do not think he needs to go to the vet just yet. You need to clean the foot a little better. He will hate this but wash the foot with hydrogen peroxide 3%. Get it at the drug store. It will sting and he will hate you. It bubbles and gets inside the wound. Then rinse foot and let him go lick his wounds, physical and psychological.
If it swells up-or he starts limping he needs the vet.
Think about making him an indoor cat.

quiet down!! speaking from adventure, and having owned and nevertheless very own a solid kind of cats, you should: a million) save a watch on your cat, if she's licking the paw plenty / limping / proceed to bleed - take her to the vet 2)i might attempt to video reveal the paw if I have been you, that is problematic, yet do-in a position, try cleansing the paw with tepid water and cotton wool (careful to not circulate away any cottonwool ). 3) If that's a small cut back or crack, merely positioned some Mercuro-crome (spelling?) after cleansing it. we've used it fairly some circumstances on our animals, and that they are all nevertheless around on 4 legs and tails wagging!

I agree - the fact that your cat hides is a sign that he is _in pain_. I would consider taking him to the vet if he hasn't come out in a bit of time (usually they write that if a cat does not come out of hiding for a couple or three days, it should be taken to the vet immediately - and you have blood around, definitely a case for some professional attention).

To be on the safe side take your cat to the vets before the pad on his foot gets infected, if it does get infected it will cost you a lot more in the long run with more visits to the vets.

as soon as you can take a look at your cats foot. If you can see anything in the cut take it to the vet. Otherwise keep it clean and watch for infection. if it doesn't look like it's getting better then take it to the vet

He needs to go to the vet NOW, even if it has stopped bleeding. How the hell would you like a gash in your foot??I bet you would go to the doctors, so do the same for your cat or get him a proper home.

put his paw in tepid water with tea spoon of bicarb in... the bicarb will clean out any gunk but allow him to heal properly. don't clean it what ever u do, he'll do that himself.
If it's swollen after a day or wont stop bleeding then off to the vet! he's prob just caught his paw on a thorn or been in a scrap.

A visit to the vet might be the thing to do, as anything could be in the paw and create infection;)
