I never had this problem as a teenager but I am now 28 and for a few years now I eat like a horse but don' t gain any weight. Sometimes I have two big warm meals per day and snacks on top but I' m still quite skinny. I do physical work and walk a lot but starting to get a bit concerned. Any suggestions ? Oh by the way I am 5 foot 8 and 10 stones.

Ok it' s not so much that I desperately want to gain weight...but more that I'm worried that I eat so much and am hungry all the time but don' t put on any weight. I can eat mountains of chocolate and cake and nothing happens. I know some of you will now say I am lucky but to me it' s a bit concerning.

To be honest it doesn't sound like you need to gain too much weight unless you have alot of muscle. Try build up shakes and liquid meals. You can get these from chemists and doctors.

Well, perhaps you should try to eat 3 meals instead of two, plus your snacks and make sure you are taking in more calories than you are burning off. Unless you are actively trying to gain weight and it is not happening I don't see why you are worried. 140 lbs (10 stone) is not really "quite skinny" for your height.
If you are really concerned you can go to see a nutritionist and a doctor. The nutritionist can look at your diet and show you how to manage what you eat to obtain your goals and a doctor can tell you if you should be concerned about your weight and if you have under laying problems.
People gain weight when they are taking in more calories then the are expending, so if you are simply maintaining your weight you have nothing to be concerned about.

Not that I understand why anyone would want to gain weight but if you do then high fat and carbs late at night. Also don't eat breakfast as this kickstarts your metabolism. Do less exercise and eat more of the wrong foods works for most of the population in gaining weight. Become a couch potato eat things like TV dinners, chips, crisps, cream cakes, ice cream, chocolate and fried foods.
Personally Your not skinny at 10 stone and 5'8"

all you have to do is to match your input with your out put. you excise a lot, try more weight than cardio. for instead of buring it off you can put it on in the right area. when you reach the weight you desire, then go back to cardio. also just a (maybe this will work) change your eating habit to trick your metabolism. do like 4 small meal one day then three big meal the next and what help some people is to eat and then sleep. may this could help u out.

I don't know what 10 stones is, but you need to get your thyroid checked. If you have an over-active thyroid, then you will be skinny. You can eat all you want, and still not put on weight. Are your relatives thin, it might be hereditary too. Good luck.

according to the data your weight is perfectly normal (even healthy) for your height and it is possible you simply have a fast metabolism.
If you notice that you have started to lose weight and are really concerned go see a doctor. Although it is very unlikely (given your weight is in the norm) there is the possibility of something like tapeworm.

Have no ideas how weigh is 10 stones. But it could be that you have high metabolism which with turns all the thing you eat to energy.
Anyway, if you are not getting sick or moody(like we all do when we do our diet), I don't think you should be to worry.

Dayum, I hate skinny bi**hes...lol just kidding. Sounds like you have a great metabolism. Hold on to it. Hopefully its not a hyperthyroid thing, but go to a doctor if you are truly concerned. It might just be in your genes.
