SAP is an ERP system - a competitor to Microsoft and developed/managed by a German company - SAP. Much like Great Plains, there is a programming language discipline, using common programs, but SAP is not a language itself. Widely used in Europe - North American use has not been as wide and implementations have met with mixed and often negative success.
