I bake a chocolate cake and frost it with chocolate frosting. I get a can of cherry pie filling and I put some of the filling without the cherries in it on top of the bottom layer and then put the top layer on. I beat a little dry cherry jello mix into a container of cool whip and spread that on top of the cake building up the edges a little. I then spoon cherries from the filling into the middle of that. It's pretty yummy! Everyone loves it. I've been losing weight, so that cake really isn't on my list of things to eat anymore. I think I had some about a year ago. I take something like that to church pot luck dinners, that way I can have a piece without having the whole cake in my house tempting me!

All cake is nice and it is my downfall - hence the curvy body - oh help!!! I love coffee/walnut, date/walnut, date slice made with oats. You see I used to be a baker at a very well known chain of health food restaaurants and to be honest the best cake has to be home made - nothing beats the aroma and satisfaction of making a cake - see I'm a hopeless case!

I love chocolate cake, but also chocolate pie. I make the best chocolate pie, and my sons fight over who takes them home. But I usually bake about 4 chocolate, so there are plenty for all. I don't know the last time I treated myself to chocolate cake, because I am trying to lose weight. Yum, I want one now.

I fell in love with a Red Velvet Cake. It took me years to try it cause of how it looked, but once i got into it, i was hooked. I especially like it a little warm. Right out of the oven. Mmmm.
