Hi Amanitvam,

No I am not related, but I do try to help people in searches like yours. Glad to see you are using GENFORUM groups - that is always the best advice, to talk to targeted (your family name) others to see what they know.

I am thinking about this as I write, but the LIVING are protected by basic Genealogy 101, so, you will not find genealogy trees or pedigrees with the living decendants you are seeking.

Maybe if you look at a few other Genealogy posting sites. This is actually a difficult task. Other ways are the DNA studies, since a branch of the family 'might' register, they allow communications through the DNA Study leader - you would have to get lucky on that. Thanks for making me think about this, I may be looking for decendants myself, back through 300 years of Scottish ancestors (up through American Ancestors, back down through Decendant Branches in Scotland.
