Beef is OK even when it goes green if u trim the green off.
A steak house in Australia specialises in "hung steak". Hang it until green, trim it up and charge a fortune.

Don't sue me if you get food poisoning but I think its best to eat it with in 24 hours and 48 hours at the outside. If it smells funny don't eat it.

Depends on how fresh it was when you froze it but I'd use it up by the third day at the very latest.
