Even though you cannot find a flea visually, she may have been bitten. Cat's and dogs are actually allergic to the fleas saliva. It may take even just one bite to set off a slew of allergie related problems. This is very common.
However it is not the only reason for a kitty to start loosing fur. To the vet on Tuesday it is!!! Good Luck! and I hope that is all that it is...

My cat had that. Some form of dermatitis. Even one flea bite starts him off so he has to have flea treatment every month for the rest of his life. The vet gave him an anti-inflammatory for his skin and a course of antibiotics because it was really sore and broken because he kept scratching. His fur is beautiful again now. You may not think your cat has fleas but she may have been bitten by one. I'm sure she'll be fine. Skin problems can be dealt with easily. Good luck!

One of my cats has had a similar problem a couple of times. Firstly it was a flea allergy and recently the vet thought it was an allergy to something in the garden as there was no fleas then. However, he sucks at his fur when he is stressed also (my cats are being bullied by one down the road). This seems to exacerbate the problem - best of luck.

This sounds like an allergic reaction possibly to bites by creatures other than fleas (if you're sure they are not present). Whatever is the matter her reaction sounds a bit extreme to me. Can't you get her to the vets' today? Our cat suffered from hair loss a year or so ago and it was only when we saw a vet that we discovered he'd been bitten by another cat. Tummy sounds an odd place to be bitten though. Hope it's not serious. Get treatment now.

she might be allergic to something?
why do you have to wait so long? normally you can just show up at vets i know i can at mine..
she might of ate something or lay on something it could be fleas aswell because the spit of fleas sometimes react bad to some animals causeing hair loss and a rash...remeber she mingles with other cats who may be flea ridden..
is she off her food? if she was i would take her straight away to the vet..
also you can ut calamine lotion on her tummy if she lets you as this will cool the rash down if its itchy.. (i have done it to my dog he reacts badly to fleas)

It could be a bacterial infection on or under the skin. A special skin medication wash from your vet will resolve it. they may scratch a skin sample and send for testing first to see what type of infection it is.

My cat had a similar problem once and it turned out to be a skin condition, it looked horrible but as soon as she started taking tablets once a month it all cleared up and she was good as new. Hope this helps.

It could be something like exzema. My friends dog suffers dreadfully. Use Aloe Vera gel as it is soothing and it's OK if the cat licks it off.

Could be mange. It's quite contagious, but is treatable. It can be passed to humans (though not very easily) so make sure you wash your hands after you touch her, especially if you'll be coming into contact with other animals.
Try Googling 'demotic mange' or 'feline mange'.
