It may just be his personality. He might be the type of person that it takes a while to get him to open up. I am like that. I met my husband in person after we had emailed and chatted for 6 months. I was able to chat away on the internet. But, as soon as we were together, I was frozen. It took a few days before I was really able to open up to him.
My advice .... give the guy another chance to see if it is just his personality. And ask him questions. I had a hard time coming up with new topics to talk about, but if my husband asked me questions I found it easier to converse.

This is kinda annoying cos I experienced that before. Have you spoken to him about it? For me, I did and his reason was not convincing for me .. so much so I don't even remember why. As time goes by, I feel lonely in the relationship and finally I left. Hope that you'll share with him about how you feel and see if both of you are willing to work on it.

it might be his first time to tell to a girl he loves her.. or he might be afraid that he might say something which is opposite from your principles. or he might have uncertainties in his feelings that he needs time to fully understand his feelings to avoid hurting your feelings. or he might scared to hear your responses after he revealed to you his feelings.
well, there are so many possible reasons why is he acting that way..why can't he tell you personally? why through sms alone/
hmm..girl, you better make him feel he has nothing to worry about..so that he won't feel uneasy, nervous and shy.

some people are more comfortable with words.
he's prolly one of those.
n he seemed the shy and passive sort which is gd cos it prolly means that he doesn't fool around much.
