He's a year old, we feed him well, we let him out when he wants (can't have a cat flap as we are renting), he's loved, but he meows all the time. He woke me at 3am, I let him out, then he woke me at 4am to be let back in, it's constant, he just doesn't let up and it's driving me to the point where I'm thinking of getting him rehomed. He stalks our other cat and just won't leave her alone, he has to be where she is. I'm SO tired, please help! He's been neutered also.

I only have one cat, but... since I started playing with him, sessions every evening and whenever else I can manage (lunch breaks, weekends, whatever), he has stopped waking me up in the middle of the night.
check out sites like perfectpaws.com and catsinternational.org for more specific advice.
(do consider a visit to the vet, just in case, but... he's like a teenager, lots of energy that needs to be defused, it may be just natural reasons)
Good luck!

This is usually a sign that something is wrong and he is trying to tell you. My cat did this and she had a Urinary infection. maybe yours has worms since you let him out. Something is wrong. sounds like a vet check time to me, I know you didn't want to hear it. He could be just bored as well, have some toys around and play with him during the day. II hope you are feeding him canned as well as dry food and plenty of fresh water. have a litter box for him as well. But please have the vet look at him. At night a cat will meow constantly if there is no lights on in the house, so have some night lights or low watage bulb. Or keep the kitchen light on.

It ought to be meowing for a reason. All cats are diverse. Mine has a nutrition fetish and wont provide up meowing the 2d theres a threat she might get fed! If its not nutrition doing it, try candy speaking it and cuddling it. Then if that doesnt help, in keeping with risk try positioned it in its very own darkened room for a whilst to quiet down. With water and a rest room of direction.

this could be medical or a behaviour problem i would take him to the vets to check that everything is ok, you dont say if he is neutered but you should get this done as it may be the problem. it may also be that the 2 cats do not get on well and need their own space provide litter tray and food bowls each and in different places. make sure that they have both got places to get away from one another they like high places. make sure that they have plenty of stimulation if non of this works you may need to consult a good behaviorist your vet should be able to help with that

I would take him to the vet, my cat wouldn't stop meowing and when we took her to the vet it turns out she had a tooth ache...so now we give her special food to keep her gums healthy...its always a good idea to get them checked over if they are behaving weird.
If the vet can;t find anything wrong then it could be a psychological thing...maybe he feels lonely and that's why he sticks close to the other cat, or maybe he just wants attention.

Have you got him Neutered?
If not this may solve the problem.

It may have a reverse affect on your cat!!

i think you need to take a trip to the vet and get him done..lol..
he sounds like he wants to be with the ladys and if he does not get the chop then you may find he will go a wandering and not come back for a few weeks..so trip to the vets should sort him out..lol.
saying that my 7yr old cat miaows at us all the time and i take it as she is happy and letting us know it (she has been spayed) some cats are very vocal other are quiet

It sounds like he wants to be the centre of attention and if every time he meows he gets it he will never stop - try asking at your vets about behaviour therapy or check out 'Your Cat' magazine which is full of helpful solutions to such problems.

Sounds like he's got a girlfriend and he can hear the other cats outside. Get him seen to by the vet and I'm sure you'll find him much better. It's kinder on the cat.
