I know lot of women that have to wax their lips due to excessive hair. I have never waxed my lip so I am not going to set here and say do it, because it looks painful. The thing is we don't have a choice of what body we have. We can either just live with how things are or we can change it. There are allot of hair removal products just remember that the face is a sensitive area. (this coming from someone who has to shave everyday). You may even be able to find a solution by googling "facial hair removal". Hope this helps and good luck.

I don't see the big deal, but to each his/her own. Why is she on medication for facial hair? She's a teenager & her hormones will change. You may actually be preventing her from having her own natural body chemical changes because of this medication. There's waxing, there's depilation, there's electrolysis.... forget the medication. Unless there's a really really good medical reason why she SHOULD be on medication, you should always try other alternatives not so altering to her system.

Children can be so cruel, and anything they perceive as different they jump on. Belive it or not your daughter will survive all the hateful remarks and be toughened by them, she who laughs last laughs best, which is the case of your daughter. I feel for her because it's not her fault, and all the childish remarks by her friends and school mates says then need to grow up which doesn't do your daughter's situation any good. Hang in there, just as soon as she can laugh at her problem too, she'll do all right. Okay!

You can't get them to stop teasing her but why don't you let her wax it or bleach it at least? It won't hurt her (unless she's allergic) and she'll feel much better about herself. It really is a small thing, Mom. Why not let her do it? Take her to a salon, they can do it safely and professionally. You can buy wax and depilatories for the face, as well as bleaches. She will be a lot happier.

Maybe this is a dumb question but why not just remove the facial hair. It would save her a lot of grief.

Maybe she can come up with a funny comeback to the nasty things they say. If they see it doesn't bother her (even though it does) they might stop teasing as much.

That's how children are, I don't think she could say or do something to stop them, but teach her to ignore them, they might stop if they see it doesn't matter to her. I know it's not an easy thing to do, but she must try, it could be the only way.
