That depend on which one you care about the most.
There is no nice way of breaking up with someone no matter how nice you try and say it, it will still hurt her. Depends if she has strong feelings for you. How long has it been going on? If it has been a while then she is boned to have feelings for you. I would tell her the truth, no matter how hard it might be

Tell her you have arranged a visit to the STD clinic,,that may help open up a conversation that will bring an end to your relationship,or just simply blame her for giving you syphillis.

Have you thought of just telling her, right to her face that you are nmo longer compatible and you need to move on? An affair means one or both of you is married to other people.............a relationship is when neither ofyou is married. Stay away from affairs...........they never turn out, pal.

an affair as in cheating? well, thats wrong for starters.. you could seriously end up hurting other people just for your sexual needs. but if you just mean love affair then you need to be honest. dont be harsh, let her down gently and with respect.
