Lots of culture do not include it in their food consumption.
The reason is simple it is not considered clean meat, pigs are scavengers and eat anything insight.
is pork ...bad for the health?
Answer is Yes and No.
This depends on how it is produced.
In USA and other advance countries it cannot be marketed unless the pig is paned up, vaccinated, and fed antibiotics. This is done for at least 2 months before slaughtering, law may slightly vary from country to country and state to state, county to county.
Only in Germany there is a type of Pork that is eaten uncooked as spread, spread contains the spices that cures the pork to consumable standards.
Millions of people all over the world eat the pork, for its taste and flavour.
It is a good food and in some places it is very expensive and in other places it is vary cheap.
It can still cause problem if consumed without proper care, must be well cooked. The left over should be stored properly. Actually in that respect all food should be handled with respect and proper care.
If not cooked properly or if it got mixed up with non treated animal by mistake and also not cooked well then the parasite in the pork can enter our body and the worm can destroy our muscles tissue. It is call trichinosis, the cure is massive dose of Erythromicine, but the antibiotics must be given on time.

I have been eating pork for 52 years now. It must not be too bad. The doctor says I am doing good and am healthy. My blood work came back fine yesterday. So, I don't consider it bad for you. I know the Bible said not to eat pork and my husbands uncle died because he had a heart attack and he wouldn't let them put a pig valve in him because he believed the Bibles teaching about pork.

"When working with pork it is essential that the meat is handled and stored properly to ensure safety. You cannot see the harmful bacteria on the meat so you must handle it as if it is present. Trichinella spiralis (trichina) is a parasite that is found on pork, which can cause a foodborne disease called trichinosis. Follow the guidelines below to ensure safety against foodborne illnesses when handling pork."

Pork is best,
Avoid fat and cook well (2 to 2.5 Hours)
Semi cook not good
Agree to the following:
"it is, if not cooked thoroughly, but otherwise it is really good for you, full of nutrients and stuff"
I used to eat occassionally, now it is not available in my place so not eating, but when I get a chance next sure I will consume it more...If you have some best cooked let me know...And call me for your party my friend...I realy enjoy it.
Thanks in advance !

In the USA, pork is fine for your health !
You don't even need to cook it all the way thru anymore...
Trim the fat (after cooking).
Amen to ribs or shoulder and BBQ Sauce !!

Not if you don't eat the fat and if you don't eta bacon, sausages and other stuff with much fat and salt.
Yo DO need to cook it all the way through, because toxoplasmosis and trichiniasis can be transfered from not well cooked meat, and that causes miscarriages etc.
