I was in a club and had a huge fight with my then boyfriend. He screamed at me that I was fat and no one would ever love me. After he walked off a stranger came up to me, handed me a rose and whispered 'you are beautiful' in my ear and then disappeared into the crowd. I never saw him again but it made me realise that they are nice men out there.

My husband did this for me actually during his RnR from deployment..

He first whisked me away to Jamaica - just the two of us. My parents watched my older son while we were there. One night .. he took me to our favorite secluded spot on the beach to cuddle in a hammock. Upon entering the room from our cuddle fest, I open the door and found the room lighted with candles .. rose petals all over the floor, on the bed and it lead into the bathroom with the same effect as well as a nice warm bubble bath. I will never forget that night .. It got me through the rest of his deployment that very special memory. Other little things, is daily every morning (he is home from deployment - YEA!) he kisses for my cheek and whispers he loves me as he leaves for PT @ 4:30 in the morning.

Hugs from a Loving Mom to a Brilliant, as well as beautiful 8 year old Jared and Our Angel, Zachary (taken to soon but who will always remain in our heart) ~ Mel

My boyfriend at the time told me that he only wanted to have casual sex with me and not a relationship because he couldn't lie to me. I was too 'beautiful to hurt'. It doesn't sound sweet, but the gesture of being painfully honest with me was a 'sweet' gesture, even though deep down I really didn't care to hear it at the time......

birthday with my ex: woke me up with a rose bouque and chocolate (sweetest thing: after i "complained" he was not romantic enough, knowing him, it's the most romantic thing he could ever try to do)
my current: cooking great meal, and being so patient, everyday.
