up with men? I mean tired of them taking you for a ride and then not calling back. Could we leave without them till we grow old. This is 2006 and we don't have to be married or have kids to be complete right?

Of course i am, spent most of my life being fed up with men... im done now... 'pay back time'

You can only control yourself.
Now, it sounds like you're more fed up with the way you learned to interact with men. We are in control of teaching each person we meet how to treat us. You just have not learned the skills to teach men how to treat you the way you want to be treated. Chastity is a great skill for you to learn and practice. It takes real time and effort to truly get to know someone. During this discovery phase, be very Chaste and show interest in him, but don't give the milk away for free. There are plenty of books, and religions out there to teach you these skills. Or, you can give up and become a cat lady.
I too have been burnt over & over, however, I learn from each relationship (family, friends, & men). I will not give up without finding new approaches and trying them, for love is the best thing on Earth & in Heaven.

whilst Im a veggie and dont eat meat - men included i do see your point! But lets face it whilst there are loads and loads of scumbags like you're describing out there -there are also the really nice ones! You just gotta kiss a lot of frogs before you find the prince! We've all had bad experiences with men and its very easy to tar the whole species as lying cheating deceitful gits - but its not right!
You're also right in the sense that no we dont need a man to marry us and have kids etc etc - but Im kinda hoping that Ill find Mr Right soon enough and settle down to that life so Im kinda hoping I dont have to do what your question suggests!!!

If you're fed up with men, dump them.
You sound old enough to figure out that most men only want one thing from women and when they get it, they're gone.
You are you're own person and you don't NEED a man in your life. WANTING and NEEDING a man in your life is two totally different things.
You don't have to have a man or kids in your life to be a complete person. We never did need it, it was required by our parents and peers and we adjusted accordingly so we wouldn't be thought of as 'weird' or 'a spinster'.

I agree. I don't need a man to make me happy and the only thing most guys are good for is sex but half of them don't even do that right.
