You are right. I can sometimes feel the same way. That there's got to be a creator (in a sort of "let's make this evolution good"-way) or a greater power having at least a little of control.
Meanwhile, I think the bible is not more than an old book, written about people asking the same questions as me. I do not pray, other than the occasional talk with God in the shower or in the bed late at night. He says: If you let me be wrong and do stupid things sometimes I will let you be wrong and do stupid things sometimes. And I answer: It's a deal.
That's my believes, And I like them. And I believe that anyone thinking a little longer than what they are being told by others, sort of forming their own religion, They are very much right. Good luck!

From a general point of view, ofcourse you are right it is your free will to believe what you want and you are not harming anyone, we are all given free will and no one has the right to judge another person as it is out of our hands.
From an Islamic perspective you are right also, for developing a relationship with and believing in God and "his" will alone is the most important thing a person can do: "Surely those who believe...anyone who believes in 1. God and 2. believes in the hereafter and 3. leads a righteous life will receive their recompense from their Lord, they will have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve" Qur'an 5:69, 2:62.

It is not unreasonable to believe that there has been some intelligent input into the creation of the Universe. God is a convenient tag for this intelligence. To understand much beyond this probably involves concepts of time and space that we are unaware of, let alone capable of understanding. The two principal monotheistic religions of the world have their roots in Judaism (Christianity and Islam). These are the inventions of man to control their converts, benefit their leaders and provide justification for acts that reasonable people would otherwise find unacceptable.
Believe as little as you wish - why be a slave to someone else's ideas.

Right.
I am quite similar. I have friends who are very strict Catholics, my Grandma has been very ill and I have spent every Sunday helping them out while the rest of the family have been in church, they wouldn't even miss a Mass when she went to hospital which I think was despicable and definitely not Christian.
You do not have to be religious to be a good person and can have your own beliefs and live well without following a book you don't fully believe in.

Believing in God is good, but not good enough. The Bible says that the devil also believes in God and trembles, but does that save him? No. So just believing in God's existence is not enough. The gospel message is that God took on flesh and came down in the form of Jesus with the purpose of dying for our sins because as the scriptures tell "without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sin". If you do not repent of your sins, receive Jesus as your Saviour and live out your life in obedience to Him, then He died in vain and you will be judged for that. Jesus didn't only die to give us eternal life with Him. He reversed the curse that was on us. He paid for our sicknesses in His own body that we might be healed. He exchanged all that is evil for all that is good. All you need to do is ask Him to come into your life. You will experience what only He can give. God bless you.

i cant really judge.
although if you believe in God, you must have some sort of religious beliefs - a concept of whats right/wrong, what is acceptable/unacceptable etc etc...if you believe in God, that will have a knock-on effect on your life.

Let us see....
Why are you asking others.? ?
Do you believe they know better than you..? ?
Do people who have religious beliefs better than you..??
Why you want others to judge you ..? ?
Just be yourself...
You believe in god is good enough.
Have faith in Him..And lead a straight life...
That is all .

The God of man's limited knowledge or imagination cannot be the One True God Who creates us and all worlds.
The One True God, out of His divine love, continuously sends His Mesengers here to show mankind the way to true worship and to build an ever-advancing cicvilization on earth.
If we realized that we are weak, we should seek God through His Messenger of our time for divine guidance and assistance.
Pray for your attainment.

A belief in God may be a hollow slogan if we do not know God. One way of knowing is to know His Signs, his Will, His glorious Name(s),and His Commandments. The foremost of all is to know that there is a Life after this Life, where we are to be judged on our deeds, and not on any slogan.May you be Blessed.

Well it seems better to me to be like that than than to follow a set of rites and practises that makes you believe you are better in the eyes of God than everyone else who doesn't. Or that those that don't agree with you should be slaughtered as infidels or condemned to eternal fiery damnation.
Religion is a stench
