Hey lady! Just don't do it. Find alternatives. Buy paper plates, no dishes! put newspaper down so you dont have to clean the floors. just throw away the dirty newspaper. cover everything in plastic and walla, no dust! But crease free clothes or even better, disposable clothes! No washing or ironing!

Why not start with taking some Vitamin B12's. I have found this to work with me when I get stuck in a rut. It also helps with your mental frame of mind. Clears the cob webs. You are needing to set a plan in action, time management and self discipline. Set your goals small so you don't become overwhelmed. Routine is good...Laundry on mondays etc I do a total garbage clean the day before the garbage is picked up, such as clean out the fridge, junk drawers. etc..at the same time set aside a donation box for Stuff no longer required, toys, clothes etc. you get the idea. If I was closer i would come and help you get started. i love that kind of stuff. B12"s my friend, twice a day 500mg each. Don't forget the walk around the block to get the blood circulating. monitor your time on the computor as well. have fun and good luck

Music is always a great motivator for me. I have been residing in the same apartment for 14 years. I would like to move to a new place to have a new beginning but that just isn't feasible right now. i changed the position of the furniture. Placed a picture on the wall and made a table of trinkets and ornaments that accent the room.
Time management is essential in completing chores as well.
When your children have left the house, that is the best time to do your cleaning and run your errands and even cook dinner.
Typically you have approximately 5-6 hours per day to complete these activities.
take one week and clean one room per day.
if your children are old enough they can maintain their spaces as well.
You can start cooking dinner around 1 p.m. while watching the soaps. You mentioned that you are starting to eat more i think you are eating more because you are bored.
maybe you should consider volunteering for a few hours per day or get a part-time job.
You don't want to look like Santa Claus this Xmas do you?
lol. you'll be fine.

Yes I know it, what did it for me is that I satrted doing something that I really like which I used to do before but thought I had to give up now I am a parent (climbing).
I just go to the climbing gym once or twice a week for a couple of hours and I am smiling and having SOOO much more energy for the chores!
The hard part is when you get in a rut it takes a bit to get out. IE: excercise will seem to make you more tired. At least you will sleep well at night!!
Do you like outdoors? Can you go hiking or something?
I think find something you really like to unlock your infinite inner energy reserves!!
(Get off the internet, and go walking in the rain!)

Join the club!! I have just my 2.5 yr old at home and my husband works until 11 at night...I find myself NOT wanting to do ANYTHING until about an hour before he gets home!! I cook dinner for my 2 sons and myself, make hubby a plate and sit on the computer until my 5 yr old goes to bed at 8:30 then I get ALL my energy and do EVERYTHING that I didn't do during the day in less than 2 hour...
Just shows that we don't need all day to clean house...just a solid hour of NO phone calls, computer work..etc..I'm 41 and find even coffee doesn't get me going in the a.m.

doing chores counts as exercise, so just tell yourself that you are doing both at once. If you are a stay at home mom, i suggest getting a dog. Take the dog out every morning and you can jog with him/her. Then you will come home refreshed after being outside and you will be more motivated to do the house work, plus the dog can give you some company until your family comes home.
don't just do it for yourself, do it for your children who need a healthy happy mom and a clean home:)

OK that last answer is something a batchelor would say. LOL
Even if you dont feel depressed, you could still have a form of it. Your descriptions are various symptoms of depression. You dont have to be singing old jazz tunes or loading up on doughnuts and candy or locking yourself in your room to think you have depression. Sound like you just might need a change of scenery, I dont know,,,uh new curtains, rearrange the furniture. Onnce thats done you might get an inspiration to scrub that oven or finish the sink load of dishes or finish washing the clothes. keep on truckn mom

A lot of what other people are saying sounds good, but there is one thing here that hasn't been mentioned.
Your thyroid.
If your thyroid is not functioning it can bring this on.
My mother-in-law said that she felt like that for about 2 years before her doctor thought to check it.
Once she got on the medication it took a little tweaking to get the right dose but she said it made a world of difference.
Since she told me that I have met several others whose story is similar.
Please go to your doctor and have your thyroid checked, and check to see if you have seasonal or situational depression.
Life doesn't have to be this way.
Good luck.

Take a good look at your house and wonder if it's the best for your child. Children grow up to be just like the parents (most of the time) so do you want your kids to be like that? Probably not. It's your jobs as parents to clean up the house. Suck it up and clean.

How's your sex life??? Getting enough attention in the bedroom? Hubby bringing home the bacon? There's a reason for everything, but being lazy myself I can understand completely..Housework sucks. You need something else to motivate you. Take up tennis or golf.
