It never ceases to amaze the power of advertising when it comes to overhyped and overpriced products and companies, Sony being the prime example. Sonys service is virtually non-existent and their products ( if you can call them their products, as for the most part Sony is not built by Sony) are no better or worse than any other name brand product. In reality, if you were to look at the last two years ratings, Panasonic has been rated #1 in both lcd and plasma class', and no, I do not work for Panasonic.

Hey mite, well if you thinking of buying a 25' then u should go for SAMSUNG 26' R series screens, reason 3000:1 contrast ratio, nice sound quality, also if you are a console gamer then you get gamemode on that screen, even microsoft xbox promotes their consoles along with this screen for gaming, and the best part is its cheaper - if you look online you may get one for like 530 - 580 pounds, check it out my friend, i've got it and i am happy, cheers.

Go for Sony Bravia - the newer model range. Otherwise, Samsung and Panasonic are great choices.
