Hi,
I feel that they are a niche in the market for sad and/or lonely people that are unable, for whatever reasons, to establish a personal contact within their own social group.
Perhaps the basic social skills are somewhat lacking.
If you have to consult an agency to find a friend, or whatever, then
obviously there is something missing in your life.
Said agencies prey on this, so I don't wholly approve of them.
Chatting to a stranger, such as yourself is fine, similar to saying "Hi!" in the supermarket, and just being friendly towards folks. No problem.
As for your question about banning them - well no. There is a demand out there, and if it helps people to communicate, then all to the good.
All my relationships have been based on someone that I already know to some extent. Surely that is the more natural way of things.
Simple answer - I don't know.
Bob

I think, escort agencies are basically 'cover-up' prostitutes
dens, except that they operate very discreetly and in a
high-class way. The girls offered to potential customers
(usually males) are very attractive, young and sexy. They can
be expensive for the so-called 'social services' but they usually end up having sex in a hotel room.
These girls who worked in escort agencies can make good
money about USD 500.00 per night. They are not bothered
about police arrests, because the agency has good connections
with the police and they are well protected by them and from
gangster's harassment.
If I had my way, I would like to ban them. But they can't be
wiped off completely due to police corruption, the demand for
illicit sex and the good money obtained for the services.
Major cities, like New York City, London, Paris, Tokyo etc. all
have the social escort agencies and they are thriving very well
indeed.

I used to work as a male escort. Not all women want intimacy out of it. Some just want a successful, strong, good looking man to take them places (ie. High School reunion, movie premiers, etc.) However, some do prefer just an "intimate encounter" and there's nothing wrong with that either. As long as the business is legit, they will not offer intimacy as an advertising gimmick but it could be expected if you are meeting at a hotel or at her house.

I've called a few escorts in my time.

I'd rather call an escort then pick up a street walker.

No, they should not be banned. In fact I think there should be more of them and have the full support of the law

I know what you mean - however - these agencies - when properly managed can be a good thing for discreet ladies & gentlemen who do not have the time or the want about them (or the looks) to have some company for the time they require - and without any commitment.. a lot safer & more hygenic that street prostitutes. good & bad ,,I would say.. but not to be banned..

I worked for one once, it wasn't that bad, we didn't have to sleep with the women or anything, I mean you could if you wanted to and some of the guys I worked with actually got paid for it. But most of it is pretty much above board, of course you will have a few dodgy ones but that is to be expected. The only thing I didn't like was that some of the women I had to go out with were really rude and spoke to us like dogs.

Most agencies are known as "The Leg Over Club". That is all they are. Have you read the descriptions of some members ?

Total lies.................. "Expensive tastes" = A face like a million dollars - all green and crinkley.

Lips like petals = BICYCLE PEDALS.

Teeth like stars = THEY COME OUT AT NIGHT.

The epitaph to one long serving member read "THEY ARE TOGETHER AGAIN". It was not referring to her departed friends. It was referring to her LEGS !!!

Do not ban them. They are a source of fun. Not to be taken seriously. Join one by all means - but join with an open mind - AND WALLET TO MATCH.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL. "giss a kiss darling".

There's plenty of women writting about their experiences 'A Call Girl in Manhattan' 'married call girl in Manhattan' 'under my skin' 'belle de jour'
if you want to research it you can go to Punternet.com see what men say about it and contact the women who sell sex.
I don't think it should be banned but be aware. This is not a straight forward thing to be involved in.

They do have a legal purpose!!! Business people often need a "date" for business affairs, with an escort there are no strings attached

I think its nice for men and women who people won't give the time of day to be able to go out on a date in public. Now what happens after the date is their business.
