I don't believe in war. War takes people away from family and friends, most of the time permanatly, usually through dying. Read Johnny Got His Gun, and I hate to say this, but if you are too lazy to read a small 150 page book, then pay attention to the Metallica One video. War is unhealthy for children and other living beings. I think all wars should be fought with candy. God help those who send over the Necco Wafers!

No I do not agree with WAR. The only war I have is when my room mate uses the last of the toothpaste or milk and does not replace it or write it on the grocery list! That war is quick and over with and we generally don't lose friends or family unless it is a full moon. Then the evil really comes out!

No - war is a racket. It always has been.
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. Only a small "inside" group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes.
The general public shoulders the bill. This bill renders a horrible accounting. Newly placed gravestones. Mangled bodies. Shattered minds. Broken hearts and homes. Economic instability. Depression and all its attendant miseries. Back-breaking taxation for generations and generations.

yes, because war is inevidable. As long as people have a means to harm each other and have very strong and different views, they will try to impose those beliefs on others, thus the result of war. Until every single person on this earth doesn't do anything to harm each other, then war will always exsists. Which by now, we all know, will never happen. So, it is either fight back, or be taken over. Thus we fight, and war ensures.

The only people that like war are the armchair warriors that have never went near a battlefield and I suppose the odd maladjusted psycho who thrives on violence. Of those people I have met that have actually fought in a war none of them, without exception, seemed to consider it a good thing.

it doesn't matter whether i agree or not, i support our troops and everything that they do.
the war is about liberating people from a tyrannical government and protecting lives from terrorism.
and yes people do miss their families and friends. some of those people will not ever get to see them again. does that mean that I don't support them? they have decided to keep protect the country that i live in.
there are some of us that are desperately awaking the return of our loved ones; whether that be spouses, significant others, parent, child, or friend. it hurts us to listen to others bad mouthing the war and the troops. the ones we love are fighting for you.

No matter what is the reason on a war, it wil never stop. when somebody looses a person in war, all he wants to do adter is to get revenge. It will never stop, even after X years.. a war to dp an occupation is the worst. But when people defend theirselves and their territory, they have all he right to do it. NO ONE accepts to loose his freedom and territorry.
ps: most of the time its children who pays for the war:(

I think that the current war(s) that is/are going on, are not enough. We need more wars and we also need wars that use more sophisticated weapons, like nuclear weapons. After that point, we should stop fighting each other, but not until we get to the point where everyone is just sick of it. Do you get my point?

I don't agree with it, but sometimes people have to stand up for what they believe in and not back down. In the extreme this can lead to one group deploying its armed forces against another.
The handling of the 'war on terror' is a different matter.
In any event it is usually the innocent bystanders who suffer in conflict.
